Wow “Virgin River” is so bad! Like 1980’s Lifetime bad

I think it's enjoyable to watch. The scenery is gorgeous.

scenery and jack. that's why we watch.

It was for me, though Jack's a little grungier so far this season (on episode 4). Did they make him grungier to contrast with the new doctor?

I mentioned the same thing! He’ll soon dramatically clean up (for Charmaine’s babies shower). He even wears a shirt with buttons! Just something to keep you watching.

Speak for yourself. It's scenery and Preacher all the way.

I have to agree with this.

But can we give a shout out to Muriel? I love her!

At the start of the series, it seemed like she might be one of those terrible busy bodies, but she's not. She's interested in her friends, but she's not gossipy like Hope or suspicious and interfering like Lizzie's grandmother. She's a good friend. She shows up with a pie or casserole when you need help, or a backgammon board when you're lonely. She was interested in Doc when he and Hope were split, but she backed off immediately when she saw they might rekindle their relationship.

She has strong opinions and her own way of doing things, but she recognizes that not everyone is the same and defers when appropriate, like when building the bench with Hope.

She's always cheerful and upbeat, but honest enough to admit she can be lonely. She doesn't wallow in self-pity. When counseling Hope to consider getting help at home, she acknowledged it was hard to live alone, but she was very matter-of-fact, even though she was confessing a hardship, and kept the focus on Hope's needs, not her own. She's generous of spirit that way.

She wears cute clothes that are age appropriate and fit well. She always looks put together and fit. Her costume at the Renaissance Fair was the best, with that curly, orange wig and red heart-shaped lips. Adorable.

Stylish and with a pie.

And she can pull off a cute little floral frock.

For more Muriel actress, check out Cedar Cove. Hallmark maybe?

She’s another actor, and Hope, and I think Preacher too, that their talents shine better in other projects. I find Preacher so boring it’s hard for me to like him or care about his storyline. I’m sure he does better elsewhere.

Ok but that ending?!? Omg didn’t see that happening!

Muriel fan here. Personally, I was hoping she'd end up with Walt Longmire!

(Is Cedar Cove the one with Andie McDowell? I don't remember her in that.)

If Paige has been gone, who has been making all of the baked goods for her food truck????

Also, if this show has only been 5 months in the life of the people of Virgin River, what an exhausting place to live.

Seriously, for a relatively small town, to pull off both a lumberjack contest and a renaissance fair is a lot!

Maybe it was Chesapeake Shores? I’m getting my Hallmarks confused. I seem to recall her as a love interest (maybe intermeddler, not sure) to Treat Williams.

I've been waiting forever for her to finally come clean about that! It was obvious since Mike entered the scene what was going on. At least to me it was obvious.
