I thought the first seasons that hair/makeup/wardrobe people really had it out for Mel and made her look so plain and dowdy. This season she looks nice.

But they’re currently filming Season 5!!

Curios why they started Mel out so frumpy. Wasn't this a "city girl moves to small town blah blah blah, meets cute troubled local guy and they make it work" story plot? Usually the girl in that scenario is ridiculously over primped and unprepared for small town life. But not Mel - she brought her remote untouched look with her.

We'll see what Season 5 brings!

I watched the first 3 seasons with enthusiasm bc it was just the right thing during the pandemic. However this season, bleh.

Her skin and hair looks gorgeous. Some of those outfits were frump city. The mid-calf, a-line burgundy corduroy skirt comes to mind.

I skipped all parts that involved Hope. She's so annoying, it's unbearable. It would have been better if they killed her character and kept Lilly alive.

In her defense, the Hope actress is much better than VR allows her to be. I skip most of Hope too but she was less terrible in the current season.
