I think it's enjoyable to watch. The scenery is gorgeous.

scenery and jack. that's why we watch.

It was for me, though Jack's a little grungier so far this season (on episode 4). Did they make him grungier to contrast with the new doctor?

I mentioned the same thing! He’ll soon dramatically clean up (for Charmaine’s babies shower). He even wears a shirt with buttons! Just something to keep you watching.

Ha ha thanks!
And agree that Preacher is also a looker and quite the catch. I wish they gave his character more to work with.

So predictable it’s like the anti-cliffhanger.

Speak for yourself. It's scenery and Preacher all the way.

It does not have to be "either or". They both are hot guys.

Muriel fan here. Personally, I was hoping she'd end up with Walt Longmire!

(Is Cedar Cove the one with Andie McDowell? I don't remember her in that.)

She was Andie McDowells best friend. Can’t remember the characters name.

Why do I continue to hate watch this show every season. The acting is terrible, the plot lines are dumber than hallmark movies. Jack and Mel are the two most bland asexual people on TV. and my god, how is Charmaine STILL PREGNANT!! Did that start at the end of season one?
So all this pointless drama has only taken place over like 4 months?
And brady is a total loser.

Hope is the worst.

In her defense, the Hope actress is much better than VR allows her to be. I skip most of Hope too but she was less terrible in the current season.

She is the worst in this season! Her and Lizzy need to be killed off.

Lizzy and Denny? (is that his name, the asian grandson back in the fold?)-holy cow, just when I thought they could not find any more bland, terrible actors, he shows up this season.

I thought for sure she would be in labor in the last episode, but only 5 months?! A character got cancer and died, another spent week(s) in the hospital after a car accident, I swear we have been thru multiple summers and then winters and now back to summer again?

The Denny thing was an interesting twist, I thought for sure he was going to be evil.

I thought she was finally close to 9 months after being pregnant for 2.5 season. But didnt come out that she was only about 5 months along. How is all this other drama happening but she stays pregnant forever?

I'm thinking that the writers mapped out a plot for two seasons, but then the viewer numbers convinced Netflix to order extra seasons and the writers didn't adapt the pregnancy timeline appropriately. It's like they came up with all these other subplots to fill two or three more seasons, but just stretched out the original storyline for Mel/Jack/Charmaine to last the whole series.

I can't think of any other explanation for this weirdness.

They only other conceivable explanation is of she's actually gestating twin elephants.

That botanic garden is gorgeous!

I want to go to that bridge over the gorge where Lizzy and grandson hike to, and do the ropes course Mel and Jack did. Where are these places?

I believe it's in Vancouver. If not, somewhere else in British Columbia.

I thought they were introducing a trans story line with denny and that the the medication he was stealing was for his hormones andall this was the secret he was keeping from everyone.

I hate hope but lilly was literally not even a character on the show then an entire season was devoted to her death as if we were supposed to care about her, an “extra.” And now hope is whining about missing her so much- wtf? They never so much as ever had a scene alone together.

Yeah, this season would be so much more impactful if we had seen more evidence of Lily and Hope's bond.

I actually agree with this article, though, that Hope is actually getting better as a character:

I adore the comparison to Mrs. Cuthbert from Anne of Green Gables.

I also appreciate the PP note in support of Muriel.
