speak for yourself, dude. |
You're right. You probably don't think of abortion when you hear the name Roe either. Silly me. |
|
So how will this go to the SB. Two recommendations but they can name it whatever they want?
How about Washington-Lunacy? Even tho it would be more expensive, go with a street name. Get it is on Stafford but go with Quincy as to not confuse. |
I can't wait to hear the Lee freaks talk about Loving.....time to buy more popcorn. |
it's also bordered by Washington Blvd so might as well just drop the Lee and keep it Washington HS. |
if you want progressive, you don’t want Washington or Lee to be in the name |
That’s ok. I don’t think we need to be “progressive.” I don’t think we need to make a “statement.” Just pick a name that has common sense. Which is not Washington-Loving. |
no, I think of sushi |
| What a waste of money and effort. I hope they pick the dumbest name possible (which, tbf, it looks like they did). Maybe they should name the next school after a liberal issue du jour. |
+1 I think about marriage. And love. Not everyone is a creepy perv. |
They are kind of stuck with it, sadly. |
| Arlington has three mediocre high schools. |
| What about Washington-Not Lee? That flows well and makes an anti Confederate statement. |
| Stop naming schools after people and just choose a location or characteristic/value name. I'd rather see a name like Independence HS or Maywood HS or Cherrydale HS than Washington Loving HS. That is like naming your child Xtacy or klimax. |
