Rihana is also part Irish.

Everyone seems to use white beauty standards for judgement, even asians.

Because of the prevalance of American media. They found that in this small pacific island, before western media invaded that island, the people were "fat" and happy. They got exposed to western media, and low and behold, people started getting eating disorders.

BTW, in Asia, light skin has *always* been a sign of beauty because it was associated with wealth, ie, if you were rich you didn't have to work the farms; same in Europe until about the 20th century when tanning meant that you could afford beach vacations. And the eye surgery in Asia? Half the east Asian population has the double eyelid naturally. Has nothing to do with looking more white. Please educate yourself before spewing your ignorance.

You're totally right, thats why Asians also die their hair brown and blond. They get surgery to make noses more pointed, moving foreheads forward, reducing cheekbones and pulling prominent mouths back of course makes them look MORE asian not less.

BTW I used to live in asia too. I agree with you about skin colour, but for the other features, no I'm buying it.

You don't have to "buy" it. I got news for you... there are plenty of Asians with high forwards and pointy noses. I also have seen plenty of white women getting lip fillers and butt injections to get a bigger butt, and getting tans. Does this make them want to be more black?

And the cheekbones and hair?

And adopting western fashion? Western makeup styles though with more asian skin tones?

White women aren't getting badonkadonks, they're adopting a more female oriented shape.

so.. maybe Asian women want more female "shape" too? Your bias and stupidty are showing.

and western fashion? I guess you are too ignorant to realize that there are successful asian fashion designers *in* Asia. Korean women for example don't buy American cosmetics. American women however seem to be buying a lot more Korean cosmetic products. Is it because they want to look more "korean"?

Most people in East Asia are not wearing traditional dress on a daily basis. They wear westernized clothes ?? mostly in daily life. In Japan ?? are mainly worn on special occasions.

Much of what you see in modern Japanese fashion is western derived. Same for HK, Korea and mainland china, though you do see the elderly in China wearing more traditional dress in terms of overcoats, and for women ?? on special occasions.

I lived/worked in Japan for several years and speak Chinese as well (married to a chinese). Western/european derived culture, be it beauty standards, art, fashion, music etc has overwhelmed traditional culture all over the world. Others are appropriating MY culture. To not recognize this is willful ignorance.

? I wasn't referring to traditional Asian clothing, but more Asian fashion designers. If they are jeans, to you that means they are trying to be American?

Yes, western culture has permeated the world, and that was my point... that the standards of beauty are purely because of western media. Even Americans are influenced by media and pop culture. The media is a powerful tool. Even so, K-pop and melodramas are quite a big thing all over Asia.

It's not even a prank. It's a recruiting tool for white supremacists. They are pretty open about their intended goal - getting mainstream whites to see themselves as victims and becoming to white supremacist policies and politicians.

Why is every other race allowed to form groups based on heir race, but if whites do it then they are "white supremacists?" For example the black congressional caucus, NAACP, La Raza, etc.

None of those groups is about their supremacy. White supremiscists are about, you guessed it, the supremacy of the white race over all others. Jews will not replace us! Blood and soil!

This is beyond stupid. There’s nothing wrong with a group of people celebrating being white. I bet there’s even people of color joining.

Indeed.. there's an Irish heritage festival happening in MD. No minority groups are protesting it. Some of you are really clueless. People don't care if you celebrate your heritage, no matter what continent your heritage is from. It's the celebrating of a hateful group like the KKK or White Nationalist groups that people are disgusted with.

And you have to be daft to not understand why there are minority political groups in the US. Let me spell it out for you... it's because minorities are.. you guess it * A MINORITY GROUP* in the US, and as such, their voices are hardly ever heard, and so they form groups.. strength in numbers, if you will. Also, historically, white America has found ways to push down minorities. Many of these groups came about from the Civil Rights movement.

Why do you think there are Women in STEM type groups and conferences? You guessed it.. it's because they are *A MINORITY* group in the industry, so to get their voices and interests heard, they form groups.
