Is being bi-gender a "thing" at your kid's school?

Not sure. And not sure why it matters?

Intuition would say more acceptable for girls because bullying. But, who knows.

It's called curiosity. Are you never curious about anything that you're not specifically involved with.

Because if mostly girls are doing this it means it's a fad or a fetish. Statistically girls shouldn't be any more likely to be non gendered than boys.

So, what, you're desperately trying to discredit this? Why?

Why does it threaten you so?

In my experience, the only people who are so threatened by this have deep issues of their own. It's like all the conservatives who go to extreme lengths to bash gays and then get caught with "wide stances" in the bathroom. If this bothers you so much, it's telling you something about yourself and your own identity. That's the only reason anyone could possibly be so angry and desperate to dismiss it.

I'm not threatened at all. No, I don't have issues. I simply think the vast majority of people are either male or female. End of story. I don't think you can choose gender anymore than you can choose race. I think it's actually immoral for parents to permit a young child to pretend to be of the opposite gender.

Gender is a social construct. A society can absolutely adapt to the needs of its members.

Being a boy or a girl is not a social construct. It shows up in your DNA. It doesn't matter one iota if a girl doesn't consider herself to be feminine. Her DNA shows that she is a female.

All of the above posters are wrong. I am right. There are males and females and that's it. Anyone else who says otherwise is mentally ill.

Crap like this is why people voted for Trump

+ 100. And I will vote for him again at least partly for this reason.

Me too and I hate the man.

^you're talking sex and biology. What makes a girl a girl socially is not in the DNA.

You are both liars. You're not going to vote for Trump just because there are bigender people out there. You're going to vote for Trump because he represents the same kind of hateful feelings you have.

Because there is nothing a president or Congress can do to stop social waves and cultural changes. You just want your voices to be heard as hateful little people. So just own up to it

Sure.

See if you can get them involved in a fun party game. Or, maybe they'd prefer a movie. Make some popcorn. Order pizza maybe. Lights out by midnight for teens. Pancakes in the morning. Have a great time!

This is what I would like to have happen, but I could see other things happen especially as this was already an affectionate group. I would not host a boy girl sleepover, and this is starting to feel that way, or like a friends with benefits situation. Lines are getting more blurry, and I think it is confusing to them and to me how to handle what used to be simple and innocent.

Yes. Hosting a sleepover for girls that includes girls who identify as lesbian or bi is exactly the same as hosting a coed sleepover for heterosexual kids, which most parents would consider to be wildly inappropriate.

DP. For me it matter because if it's mostly girls, I suspect it says a lot more about the misogyny they're encountering and how difficult it is to be a "girl" in this culture than anything specific about them.

It has never been easier to be a girl. The world is very female centric now, especially for anyone 30 and younger.

I'm 44 and I've always felt it was easier to be a female.

I'm a white woman, can I start identifying as a black man if that's how I feel?

I'm 'm the 2nd PP and I consider myself a moderate, but the left has gone bat shit crazy and enough is enough. It will be hard for me to vote Democrat again until they are willing to break ties with the freaks.

I'm waiting for one of the loons to answer. If both race and gender are social constructs, shouldnt I be able to call myself a black man and expect everyone to acknowledge me as such?

Not true at all. I applaud trumps attempt to ban "transgenders" in the military. And I absolutely voted for him last year and would have no problem doing so again.

+ 1000. I see myself as 10 years younger and 15 pounds lighter than you do. And I expect to be acknowledged as such. After all, only what is in "my head" matters, according to these nuts.
