I keep hearing this is a "road rage" incident rather than a "hate crime" but not a lot of specifics as to why police think that. It takes a special kind of derangement to get road rage over a group of kids walking.

What evidence do you have that it was a crime? The victims race/ethnicity does not meet the standard of proof for a hate crime.

I don't think the ineffective fear fueled policies we have now are working they way you had hoped. I don't think building a wall will work.

DP. You're missing the point. While people say crime rates would be lower if all illegal immigrants were deported (which isn't realistic by the way, unless you don't want police to do anything else), the facts don't back that up.

The point is this: you - and others - are defending illegal immigrants by saying they somehow have a right to be here. The crime rates are irrelevant if we're all acknowledging that these people are committing a crime by being here in the first place. Understand?
