Did you even bother to read the story before you posted it?

Way to miss the point.

I'll take that as a "no," you didn't bother to read the story. Try harder next time to understand the facts before you start a thread with a misleading title.

STFU, a girl was found dead is not misleading. Try harder to act like a human being.

This is so sad. DurIng Ramadan there are late night prayers at the mosque. Some people stay all night praying. Seems as if they went out to eat before the next fast started and were on their way back to the mosque for the next set of prayers. Apparently he came out of the car swinging baseball bats at all of them and they all took off but she fell/got left behind and was abducted.

They say there was some sort of dispute between the driver of the car and the group of kids walking. The driver got out swinging a baseball bat and maybe knocked her down or she fell trying to get away.

It seems like a random attack, yet, the assailant abducted her. That seems unusual and particularly scary. I'm glad that they have the one suspect in custody and I hope that if there are any more suspects that they are apprehended ASAP.

The poor Muslim girl was found dead in Sterling, in Loudoun County, and one 22-year-old Hispanic male has been arrested. That's about the sum total of what's been reported, apart from suggestions the assailant was drunk and had a baseball bat.

Lots of misinformation and unfortunate speculation on this thread, however, that does no one any good.

UPDATE: I was given permission to release her name and photo- Beautiful Nabra Allah yr7amha. Just heard from the victim's friend of the tragedy that happened last night outside of Adams. She said that a group of about ten girls were going to McDonalds to grab food during Qiyam time. A car pulled up with two men came out with a baseball bat swinging at the girls. This girl fell and was left behind. They kidnapped her then murdered her. This is what the world has come to. Our youth are being targeted and are not safe in our communities. In these blessed nights of this month, we are being tested beyond imagine. May Allah grant her jannah and make this unbelievable tragedy easier on her family. No words.

I'm so sorry for your community's loss. I share your prayers for her eternal rest, and comfort to her family.

With love,

A Christian who prays for peace and unity

This is awful. Judging from the suspect and his actions, I'll bet he's MS-13.

I was trying to go down Draineseille Road and they had the road blocked off. The pond is off to the right of Drainsevillle in a set of townhomes. I returned on the road at 7 PM and they were just ending the roadblock.

Still, I don't see any way this was not a hate crime under the circumstances.

We don’t know the entire story. We don’t know what evidence they have. Let’s wait and see what investigators determine.

If he was targeting women or preying on them as more vulnerable, that's still a hate crime to me - religion factor or not.

To have your daughter murdered on Father's Day? Just heartbreaking.

"Hate crime" is a legal distinction. You can say any crime is hate-motivated. To be categorized as a hate crime it has to be shown that hate toward a person's race or religion played a significant factor in the motive and commitment of the crime.

From what I've read, they are not categorizing this as a "bias crime" at this time. The are still investigating what exactly triggered that guy to attack her.

My speculation based on watching/reading too many mystery and crime stories:

It's not a good idea to walk on that stretch of road to begin with but a group of teenage girls and very little to no cars, and the group was spilling into the street thinking their was no need to be as cautious as daytime.

Driver comes up quickly and the girls have to quickly move out of the way and they start shouting after the driver, maybe waving phones like they will take pics or call police.

Driver stops and confrontation ensues and driver might be drunk/tipsy and/or angry likely over something not related at all to these girls. They just fuel his anger. Maybe this girl threatens to call police and the driver gets scared. He wants to intimidate the girls and uses the baseball bat but accidentally hits the girl. The other girls have run off so he doesn't think they saw what happened. He picks her up and has the intention of getting help but maybe she dies in the car and he panics and then he leaves in her at the location she is found.

Next day he still feels guilty, thinks maybe he is wrong that she was dead and tries to go back and find her except police are there and notice him lurking around and stop to question him and then arrest him.
