UVA student missing

Sounds like he may have lured her with alcohol. We need to teach our underage teens not to fall for this trick!

No, the bald, older guy is who called the hotline and is the person seen following her. Dread guy is seen walking with her at one point.

Here's another question: if a text message was sent to friends from her phone Friday night saying she was lost, why aren't we hearing anything about any friends' response/concern about that? Did any of her friends try to call her?

Did she know the guy dreadlocks? It's very hard to decipher why she would go all the way out there and then go to abar with him and possibly get I his car? The press conference left out a lot of details, understandably. I didn't watch the whole thing, but I got the sense they think he is guilty but lack evidence

Middle of night? No, friends were likely passed out. And they may not have noticed it in a pile of other texts that teens usually get. Plus, in college, a person not making it home to bed does not always trigger alarm bells among young adults. People may have assumed that she decided to sleep elsewhere.

After the bald guy? He (older bald guy) seems totally shady to me. He followed her because she seemed distressed? Then someone else came along? I don't buy that. It's not what it looks like on the security video, either. I think he's lying.

Look up both videos on YouTube on a large screen. Then get back to us.

I'm still confused about who is the suspect and who is the witness.

I'm not suggesting we turn back the clock 50 years, but this reality about college kids today is very sad to me. It's too easy for bad things to happen when you combine drinking and/or drugs with no supervision or staying in a group late at night.

Please don't judge her friends. There were many times during my own college days when I was feeling carefree and having fun and I didn't want to leave a party when my friends were tired and ready to go home. I stayed at the party, they left and sometimes I walked home alone. Nothing bad ever happened to me and honestly it never dawned on me that anything bad would ever happen to me (I was 5'5". 120 pounds at most). She probably didn't call police because she was...underage and a bit intoxicated? I mean duh.

But this is wrong thinking, and women need more guidance and encouragement to not do what you did. You were really fortunate.

Alcohol and drugs are the teenager's version of candy. Don't fall for the lure that abductors use!

Why so bitchy? Suspect is dreads guy? So we just take at his word the guy we saw following her in the video? Post stills of the facts if you're so sure of yourself.
