I'm holding out until you can run this thread up to 30 pages with your non-stop rambling. |
Seeing that we're only halfway there, you'll have to step it up. |
Absentee parenting is the strangest thing, IMO. Then acting shocked when the shit hits the fan. |
Agreed. |
Yep. |
Please teach your kids that when they post on the internet, they have no expectation of privacy. |
What about when they send something in a private email? Still no expectation of privacy? |
Here is what we actually know:
The facts that are in the article are available to all. A site allegedly created by a sophomore boy at a senior boy's home allegedly contained explicit pictures of girls labeled with their names and then a link to the site was circulated among students. We get that if it turns out to be the case that girls took these pictures themselves that that was wrong, but purposely taking actions that will embarrass others and possibly expose them to danger is far more wrong than sending a picture privately to another. It makes no sense at all to give these actions equal culpability. One doesn't need a legal background to perceive the different levels of culpability here. |
YES! There are no "private" emails on the internet. This is true with friends (or ex-friends) as well as bosses, coworkers, employees, etc. |
Here's what I hope happens: I hope, for their sakes, that these boys straighten out, grow up, and become good men. And then I hope they marry and have a bunch of daughters- they'll be singing a different tune then! |
Oh mommy, a bunch of the girls have not been identified yet...a bunch of people are pretty worried and frightened. You sound like one of the worried ones. Therefore, the desire to place more blame on the boys who received the photos. The girls purpously took actions that will embarrass others and possibly expose themselves to danger, also. I don't see any objectivity in your post, PP. Unless the Post is lying about the photos being pornographic. |
So all you moms see nothing wrong with the girls posting nude selfies on social media? I wouldn't be surprised to hear that the girls sent them directly to the Dropbox themselves. Without the girls' naked pics, the boys would have been playing Call of Duty. |
Sorry, I don't live anywhere near McLean High School and I don't know a soul involved in this. As noted above: It makes no sense at all to give these actions equal culpability. One doesn't need a legal background to perceive the different levels of culpability here. |
I imagine you're the type of person who believes a woman who was raped "asked for it" by wearing a skirt. |
How about I will punish my daughter to no end if she sends a pornographic picture to her boyfriend, not I prefer she not. In a " loving relationship" .... What planet are you on, these kids are 15 yo. Your needy self absorbed daughter needs to stop sending skanky pictures to random boys. She does not respect herself and then wonders why nobody respects her. ![]() |
