I mean...if the only way to NOT be a hater is to insist that transwomen and cis women are the same for absolutely all purposes, then I suppose I am a hater. My position is also that of at least 80% of Americans, which I suppose brings us back to square one in this thread.

Good! Sounds like you’re starting to get it. The first step is admitting that you’re a hater of people who are different than you and don’t want to see them have equal rights or dignity. Women, black and brown people, non-Christians, gay people, etc have faced this hate throughout US history. “They” are not like us. “They are in their own universe.” “They” think they deserve equal rights and dignity. Trans people are the latest to face this hatred.

DP. Seek help. Of course trans people (and gay people, etc.) deserve equal rights. However, playing sports against biological women is the definition of UNequal treatment and anyone honest will admit that. You’re clearly very dishonest.

Another DP. I happen to agree with you that biological men shouldn't participate in sports with biological women. Where we disagree is how significant an issue this is. Here's the president of the NCAA testifying about how many college athletes are transgender:

https://thehill.com/homenews/lgbtq/5046662-ncaa-president-transgender-athletes-college-sports/

Out of 500k athletes at a thousand colleges he's only aware of ten who are trans. Ten. So when calling another poster dishonest try not to act like something that happens incredibly rarely is widespread.

Why, then, does the left pick this hill to die on if it affects 10 people?

They don't. That Trump "they/them" ad that was so effective took something Kamala Harris said in 2019 about a policy followed by the Trump administration. She did not campaign on the issue in 2024.

Your framing is so incredibly dishonest and disingenuous. And it’s why you and your ilk are on the wrong side of history.

Let’s say there are ten athletes (and that number is probably wrong). As usual, you only care about the experience of those transwomen and do not care at all for the women hurt along the way. How many women lost places along the way? How many were hurt playing against someone much larger and stronger? How many dropped out, were discouraged, were disadvantaged along the way by this prioritization of transwomen over women? How many were gaslit, were lied to, here shamed?

This is a lot more than ten people, but as usual for misogynists like you, you don’t care about the women. You care only for the transwomen, because you are a male supremacist.

Gee, I don't know who to believe here...the president of the NCAA testifying under oath or some internet rando.

Hate is not a viewpoint.

Recognizing that people are different than one's self is not hatred. You've asserted that some people don't want others dissimiliar to themselves to not have equal rights or dignity, without saying what equal rights are denied or what dignity is being denied. Instead you've asserted that there is hate.

Pride month is necessary because they need to come out of the shadows and not feel hate toward who they are. That’s why we don’t need Traditional Family Month - traditional families don’t endure hate and discrimination. It’s the same reason we don’t need a Privileged White Men month. Why do you have so much hate in your hearts for people who are different than you who are just trying to be respected as fellow humans? I’m really trying to understand this.

What exactly are you talking about? The trans sports thing? I have no hate in my heart. I don’t believe that transgender women and girls belong in women’s and girls’ sports, but that’s certainly not a belief rooted in hate. I also believe that certain traditionally single sex spaces (Koreans spas, women’s gyms, locker rooms in some situations) should remain single sex.

And those belief doesn’t implicate Ls Gs and Bs at all.

You just outlined discrimination. Trans people do not harm others bathrooms. However, a trans woman would be in danger of her safety if she used a men’s room. You don’t even understand your own hate.

Why would a man be unsafe in the men's room?

Because they're taking female hormones and are dressed in women's clothes. They present as women. Women stay out of men's rooms. They are also not safe because of transphobia and walking into a men's room is asking for trouble. It's not hard to understand.

LOL, so you're saying men shouldn't be in the women's bathroom? LOLOL. Thanks for playing!

Sigh. You two are talking past each other when one of you uses a person's birth certificate to determine if they are a man or a woman, and the other one uses their current ID.

Sure. Say it is ten. You are still ignoring all the women hurt along the way, who lost chances, opportunities, scholarships, etc. at a minimum. That doesn’t even get into the gaslighting, the lies, the silencing, the suppression of stories of harassment that you want to go along with your position.

You are still preferencing transwomen over women, still leaning into a framework where you make it clear women are second-class citizens, still pushing a male supremacist philosophy. And then you are feigning shock when the vast majority of the country objects to you stripping sex-based rights from women that were hard-fought.

Who lost a scholarship to a trans woman? If you have some evidence that this happened I will gladly consider it. Riley Gaines, who has made a career out of making claims like this, tied for fifth place with a trans woman who didn't even have an athletic scholarship.

Nah, the right doesn't require fealty to every rightwing viewpoint. The right doesn't hang signs saying "in this house we believe like my neighbors do to show conformity". This is a major weakness of the right and its promotion of individualism, even if many show cult like behavior.

Out of 500k athletes at a thousand colleges he's only aware of ten who are trans. Ten. So when calling another poster dishonest try not to act like something that happens incredibly rarely is widespread.

What was her teamates best placing at the national level when that athlete swam for the other side?
(Hint it was higher than 5th place).
