Not in the way the GOP told you. You people are so f-in gullible and stupid and, frankly, hateful. So easy to dupe racists and homophobes, and transphobes, and xenophobes. F-in stupid stupid stupid.

There you are. Our resident gaslighter who could benefit greatly from a thesaurus and a brain.
DP

When all you RWNJs have is lies, no one wants to listen anymore. We see through you.

Every one of your accusations are confessions. You are one trick ponies and it is so OLD.

DP. I am not MAGA and have never voted for a Republican in a major race but it is pretty easy to see that some leftist/Democrat positions will not be viewed kindly by history. The fact you are so blind that you can’t see that is your problem, not the problem of history.

Civil rights will never be looked upon historically in a negative manner.

When you redefine “civil rights” to mean “my own personal preferences” it certainly will be tossed in the trash bin of history.

MAGA will of course be looked at harshly by historians, but so will aspects of Biden’s presidency and Democratic positions more generally.

Trump and Biden are obviously weak presidents relative to the norm but the "Democratic" positions you speak of that are so unpopular were never mainstream Dem politicians at the Federal level. You were duped by a successful GOP messaging campaign that was only successful because the Dems have no national leader to set the record straight.

The redefinition of sex and gender under Title 9 was a product of Biden.

The border policy was Biden policy.

Full health insurance for undocumented immigrants in California (not available to citizens) was the Democrats under Newsom.

And on and on and on. I know you don’t like being confronted with reality but unfortunately there are wildly unpopular policies that were mainstream Democratic policies and that are going to be on the wrong side of history.

Yup, and that's why the Dem Party got rid of Biden. It's one thing to make a one-time mistake, learn from it, and move on. It's an entirely different thing to make a mistake and then repeat it, twice! The Dems nominated Biden once. The GOP nominated Trump three consecutive times and the last time was AFTER he had refused to do his primary job as Commander-in-Chief while the nation's Capitol was under attack!

Stupid is as stupid does and in this comparison, I have to say the Dem Party has exhibited less stupidity since 2016. I say this objectively as someone who wouldn't touch affiliation with these corrupt entities with a mile long pole.

I will grant you that overall the Democrats have been less venal and stupid than the MAGA. But it is foolish to pretend that the Democrats will be remembered well from this period, and it’s a close race. And it is not just Biden, despite what people here are desperate to believe. It is the Democratic Party across the board.

Take California and healthcare for undocumented immigrants. This was a direct hit at California’s working class by a pure blue party. Californians who are documented can’t get healthcare and the widespread funding of healthcare for undocumented workers drove an influx of poor immigrants into the state and have largely collapsed the health system that California’s working class used to rely on. That doesn’t have a lot to do with Biden.

Harm reduction drug policies—pushed by progressives across the country—have destroyed lives and families. This is a topic where the Republicans have the upper moral hand, which is appalling but true. The Democrats have essentially propped up a vicious cartel drug network built on the bodies of teens dying from fentanyl overdoses.

I am truly mystified by Democratic cultists who see none of the severe harm their party has caused across the board. Nobody serious is debating the harm of the MAGA, but the Democrats aren’t far behind MAGA, they are nipping at their heels.

Lol... no one is going to have fond memories looking back on our current state of politics under the rule of two corrupt and dysfunctional political parties. Just sayin... the Dem Party is clearly the lesser of two evils during the Trump era. Hopefully they are both gone soon so we can start from scratch.

Good! Sounds like you’re starting to get it. The first step is admitting that you’re a hater of people who are different than you and don’t want to see them have equal rights or dignity. Women, black and brown people, non-Christians, gay people, etc have faced this hate throughout US history. “They” are not like us. “They are in their own universe.” “They” think they deserve equal rights and dignity. Trans people are the latest to face this hatred.

DP. Seek help. Of course trans people (and gay people, etc.) deserve equal rights. However, playing sports against biological women is the definition of UNequal treatment and anyone honest will admit that. You’re clearly very dishonest.

Another DP. I happen to agree with you that biological men shouldn't participate in sports with biological women. Where we disagree is how significant an issue this is. Here's the president of the NCAA testifying about how many college athletes are transgender:

https://thehill.com/homenews/lgbtq/5046662-ncaa-president-transgender-athletes-college-sports/

Out of 500k athletes at a thousand colleges he's only aware of ten who are trans. Ten. So when calling another poster dishonest try not to act like something that happens incredibly rarely is widespread.

Why, then, does the left pick this hill to die on if it affects 10 people?

They don't. That Trump "they/them" ad that was so effective took something Kamala Harris said in 2019 about a policy followed by the Trump administration. She did not campaign on the issue in 2024.

She didn’t need to. Biden had already redefined sex as gender identity/whatever one feels oneself to be.
And Kamala did not set herself apart from Biden in that way or in any meaningful way.

Your framing is so incredibly dishonest and disingenuous. And it’s why you and your ilk are on the wrong side of history.

Let’s say there are ten athletes (and that number is probably wrong). As usual, you only care about the experience of those transwomen and do not care at all for the women hurt along the way. How many women lost places along the way? How many were hurt playing against someone much larger and stronger? How many dropped out, were discouraged, were disadvantaged along the way by this prioritization of transwomen over women? How many were gaslit, were lied to, here shamed?

This is a lot more than ten people, but as usual for misogynists like you, you don’t care about the women. You care only for the transwomen, because you are a male supremacist.

Gee, I don't know who to believe here...the president of the NCAA testifying under oath or some internet rando.

Sure. Say it is ten. You are still ignoring all the women hurt along the way, who lost chances, opportunities, scholarships, etc. at a minimum. That doesn’t even get into the gaslighting, the lies, the silencing, the suppression of stories of harassment that you want to go along with your position.

You are still preferencing transwomen over women, still leaning into a framework where you make it clear women are second-class citizens, still pushing a male supremacist philosophy. And then you are feigning shock when the vast majority of the country objects to you stripping sex-based rights from women that were hard-fought.

Who lost a scholarship to a trans woman? If you have some evidence that this happened I will gladly consider it. Riley Gaines, who has made a career out of making claims like this, tied for fifth place with a trans woman who didn't even have an athletic scholarship.

What was her teamates best placing at the national level when that athlete swam for the other side?
(Hint it was higher than 5th place).

Whose teammate? Why does that even matter?

Exactly. Right was made to believe Left chose this hill to die on. We didn’t. You fell for that without reading up on candidates yourself. However, we have and will continue to fight for human rights and dignity.

DP. I’ve said before that it is far from being the most important issue. But it is one the Dems got very, very wrong.
I do not like being gaslit. I do not like being ordered to ignore what is right in front of my eyes. I suspect others don’t either.

Biden and Harris are no longer relevant in American politics. Biden's damage to the Dem party is done and over with.... meanwhile... Trump is still relevant and doing his best to destroy the chances of GOP politicians having success in the 2026 and 2028 elections.

Did you conveniently forget about The Squad ?

The Squad is an informal left-wing faction of the Democratic Caucus in the U.S. House of Representatives. Members of the Squad are all members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus. The Squad comprises the furthest left faction of the Democratic Caucus (plus Bernie, who caucuses with The Squad).

There were nine of them (ten, if you include the Bern), until recently.
