That’s def Ozempic

Even if it is - so what?

Selena has an autoimmune disorder that caused her to gain a lot of weight.

There are potential health benefits for overweight people with autoimmune disorders taking Ozempic due to significant weight loss reducing inflammation and improving symptoms of conditions like rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and psoriasis. Some studies suggest ozempic might have direct anti-inflammatory properties.

Beyond weight, ozempic offers cardiovascular protection, and folks with autoimmune conditions often have higher heart disease risks.

Also Ozempic can help to regulate insulin and blood sugar levels so can be helpful for those at risk of developing diabetes.

I have never taken ozempic myself but my understanding is that there are sound medical reasons for taking it.

Thank you for this. I was starting to get a little worried about her a year or two ago because she had gained a lot of weight and just looked incomfortable and stiff in her acting. She seems like she feels better and is moving better now so I think anti-inflammatory is probably right. She looks happy, and I hope her health and marriage all go well.
(When she was a young pop star, she met a relative of mine and was super super nice about it, so I have a little soft spot for her — she just seems like a nicer person with a lot of grit and a sense of humor.)

Now THIS is classically elegant. I so wish Jennifer Garner has worn something like this instead.

Jennifer Garner? She did wear something classically elegant:

The red carpet pics muddy the dress so much. You can't see the skirt is made up of tiers of beaded loops, which is swingy and beautiful when she walks.

Thank you for this. I only seen the pics and the dress looks a little too narrow at the bottom, the hem a little too high and the shoes a little too matronly. Now I can envision what you’re saying and it does sound lovely!

I bet it.looked amazing in person. "The gown required an eye-popping 1,300 hours of hand embroidery and features 330,000 crystal beads, according to InStyle."

But the entire point here is to pick a dress that works on the red carpet!! If it doesn’t work in still photos, don’t choose it.

The hem length was what I didn't like about it but that could also be just the way she was standing in the photo I saw. She looked beautiful.

Agreed. I think another issue was the heaviness of the dress (she mentioned it threw off her sense of balance) which pulled it down in a straight line around her torso and hips. If it had some boning, would have been a little more flattering at the waist. In motion it was gorgeous though.

I saw a video of Garner's dress and the bottom was also partially see through, so not as matronly as it looks.

Are these hip implants??

I truly don’t get the hype around her. Her hips look really wide and she looks like she could be pregnant. I just don’t see why this is stunning.

I’ve always felt like all the Kardashians are average at best, but clearly people see something I don’t.

I think the Kardashians are really good at styling from head to toe. Hair, makeup, dress, jewelry, clutch, and shoes are always coordinated and the end result is always on brand: sexy. They bring a vibe.

I recently saw Kendall on a British Vogue runway clip and she has the same skinny waist and curvy hips. It’s the epitome of female sexuality.

Plus, Kylie’s dress is gorgeous. It stood out last night.

Now here’s what I can’t understand: what’s the appeal of Timothee Chalomet? I can’t find anything about him remotely attractive or special.

TC is a charismatic and gifted actor but needs to grow emotionally beyond playing enigmas. His turns in Dune and a Complete Unknown were phenom.

I do think this pairing is odd and probably stunting his growth to move beyond surface appearances.
I really like them together. Too bad she’s stuck for life with freak ass Travis daddy. His birth name is Jacques Webster?

I hope Kylie and Timothee have a baby together. It would be so cute! Also, is this the first white guy that anybody in that family has ever dated? Besides Scott.

DP. I've been trying to find a video to post and don't know if this will work, but here goes. I think her gown was my favorite and she looked the best all-around:

I know Kylie Kardashian is completely plastic, but whoever her facial surgeon is did an impeccable job. She really is absolutely gorgeous.

I agree with this. I also tend to think it was a series of factors that make the still photos so dull and aging, making it a styling fail. The cut of the top of the dress is matronly. Even in the photos where you can see how well the dress moves, I think the jewel neck with the tank sleeves just looks "soccer mom". I would have liked to see either a lower neckline or maybe make it a cutaway tank or halter style to show off her shoulders better.

Her hair, while obviously gorgeous, also looks a little dated at that length and in that style. With a different dress it would have looked "classic Hollywood glamour" which is always a safe choice. But because of the way the top of the dress was cut, it further emphasized this kind of matronly soccer mom vibe I was getting. I would be interested to see it in a slightly more editorial, high fashion style, to see how it changes the dress -- a few inches shorter and super straight, or a dramatic updo. I'm not sure but something about it just feels too staid and safe.

Then compounding this is the way the fabric shimmer and movement doesn't show up on camera well, and it's rendered in black which reads as plain without those elements.

The fabric is stunning and I do like how it moves but I think there are more problems here than just it not photographing great. I think people just love Jen Garner and are being really generous. It was not one of the best looks of the night and is ultimately pretty forgettable.

I appreciate you mentioning her autoimmune disorder. It's a good excuse to remind people that this is why endlessly picking apart how much people weigh can just be needlessly cruel. People criticized Selena for gaining weight, too. She's not a doll, she's a human being. FFS.

Friends, here is the first in a series I would like to call "Bad Looks Happening to Good People." First up: Emma Stone

It's not really her fault. For one, she is a brand ambassador for Louis Vuitton who has had just terrible red carpet offerings for the last, hmmmm, ten years, and here is another one. Also, that color is nice on her, so there's that. But this feels like an outfit designed for a very pregnant actress to show off her bump on the red carpet, except Stone isn't pregnant, and in fact kudos to her and her trainer. And yet, when I look at this photo, I feel... uncomfortable. Awkward. It looks like her skirt will fall off. It feels like something is being presented and the fact that it's her lower abs is... weird. I hate looking at it, and also I can't stop looking at it.

Also, after just absolutely slaying the entire evolution of her shaved Begonia head through pixieland, I am finding this short bob and its current styling extremely meh. Again, color is great, so glad she has settled back into this red. But the cut and styling feels unfinished.
