This is Joel Edgerton and his date. I don't know her name. I love Joel Edgerton and Train Dreams is good and streaming on Netflix so go watch that. But this dress is Alaïa and I just love it. The fabric, the color, the neckline, the shape. I want to touch it, I want to wear it. I want to wear it so that I can touch it without being creepy and asking a lady I don't know if I can touch her dress because the fabric is so magical. And the color is like the sea. This dress is a poem.

| ^ isn't it a little too long tho? Agree on the other points of the dress |
Maybe. It can be a bit hard to tell if a hem is too long if you aren't watching it move. Like Hannah Einbinder's dress definitely looked to long in photos to me, but I think those blue panels on the sides were part of a train, so it was a bit hard to tell -- it mind read differently in a photo on stairs, or in a photo where she is walking. With the velvet dress, I can't tell wear her shoes are in terms of the hem of the dress, and wether the slight pooling on the side and back is a hem issue or intended to be a small train. Would love in motion video to confirm! |

I don't know how to post a photo and I don't know the woman's name to look her up, but my favorite look was a pregnant actress in a flowing bright yellow gown. It was very elegant and a perfect color for her.
I liked Kate Hudson's silver dress, too. Rose Byrne's green dress was pretty but it also seemed like a cheap knockoff of the famous Atonement green dress. And yes I'm sure it was actually quite expensive. I liked Jennifer Garner's beaded, tiered black dress and even though it looked like something any of us might see a regular person wearing to a fancy wedding or charity gala, I don't mind because that's kinda her whole schtick. |
Elle's dress is exquisite but it's not the right color for her, washes her out. Would be beyond stunning on someone with a darker complexion. |
They always dress the same and I'm tired of them. |
Had she worn her hair slicked back or in a bun along with a bolder lip color, the look would have been amazing. Does she have big ears or something? Any stylist surely would have suggested these obvious things: slick back hair, wear a bold red lip. That’s how you style that dress. Her coloring has nothing to do with it; she just didn’t have the right hair and makeup. |
I think the concept was good but it’s just not working, mostly because the V is too deep. Combined with the piddling hem. It just looks like she borrowed a dress from a much larger woman. Too bad because it would be a cool dress otherwise and I think that’s a good way to fancy up her bob. |
I like the old slip vibe where the materials look luxurious— that is gorgeous lace trim. But it’s not working here in part because the color is bad for .Zoe — would be better on someone with really dark skin, or maybe a redhead with blue undertones (not yellow) to her skin tone. And the green bra type straps ruin in. I think it would also need flawless undergarments. I actually wore a vintage 1920s slip like this to a party once when I was young and thin and it was one of my favorite all time party outfits. |
This one? (Sinners star Wunmi Mosaku)

| I don’t know how to post pictures but I loved Leighton Meester’s dress. It was a fun combo of color and texture but with a simple sillouette. |
I like this dress but don't love it. The shade is just too Kermit the Frog. |
+1 Or a Tiffany lampshade. Either way, looks incredibly uncomfortable. |
You can deem them anything you want. As can the rest of us. |
+1 She looks ridiculous. |
