I have no qualms about this. What is going on in this country right now is morally wrong. These people work their butts off, are law abiding good people and make our country great. THEY’RE doing that. Not MAGA.

And, you are breaking the law.

The people who harbored Anne Frank also broke the law.

Exactly. Bad laws are meant to be broken.

So, you're saying the people your illegal servants are fleeing are Nazi's? Why aren't you advocating for sanctions and war?

I don't see how you can be on good terms with people in Latin America when you think their plight is the same as Nazi repression.

No the OP is down in Latin America on vacation, good times.

OP here. I'm not equating the plight of those seeking better lives for themselves generally with the plight of those fleeing the Nazis. But I'm not begrudging them either. I don't think it's morally right to penalize them just because they weren't born here. Once they're here, following the law, and want to work I will hire them. They deserve nothing less. God Bless.

They are not here following the law if they are working illegally.

Well, by all means let's spend 75 billion Dollars over that. It won't accomplish anything for anyone, unless you happen to be in the business of building concentration camps .

But heck if it "owns a few libs" it's worth billions and billions and billions and billions. Our grandkids and great grandkids will have to pay it all that back but we can tell them all the great stories about owning the libs and how great it was.

And I think they were ordered to dismantle and remove the one in the swamp in Florida. But who cares? The important thing is that whatever corrupt company is getting paid to put it there will also get paid to take it away. And you and I don't even have to pay for it. Our kids will take care of that.

This is what Democrats want to do for the country- proudly harboring the undocumented.

Republicans want to spend billions and fix nothing.

The good ones? Yes, that’s exactly what we want to do. Because we are the true Christians.

It's better than imitating the Nazis.

If you do not feel a duty to your fellow Americans why should anybody in this country feel any duty to the common good?

Middle class pays the most money, why shouldn't we get the immigration policy we want?

You are truly a broken record.

The “common good” to mean includes hardworking non-citizens.

Why don't you properly hire his/her and petition for their work visa or any other immigration visa? What stops you to do it a legal way if you are such a morally right person?

Considering that we pay him more than triple the minimum wage in our state? I don’t think so.

I don't believe this. Can you show us the proof?

How do you know he's not?

It would take a lot of undocumented immigrants to equal the amount of income tax fraud the Trumps (not just Donald) have committed over the years.

Well he’s illegal. And he’s being harbored by his employer. So he’s definitely not paying taxes.

He's not illegal. No one is illegal. And he's paying taxes, just not income taxes. As I've said before, he probably wouldn't owe a lot of income tax anyway. And he's not burdening the state in any way -- he doesn't claim or take advantage of any social programs or anything. He likely costs us less than the lazy "domestic" workers around here.

So you are paying him less than the wages for domestic workers in your area? How is that not a slavery? This person has no place to go so they are tight to the housing that you are providing without any freedom to leave, since you failed to legalize them.

What you are doing, hiring an undocumented immigrant, is illegal. And how do you know for which state or federal program he or his family members applied? Do you pay his health insurance? Do you pay his short term disability insurance?

I’ll stop asking the question once you answer it, which you refuse to do by ignoring or evading the question.

Why should Americans feel a duty to the American common good if you don’t feel a duty to your fellow Americans?

And you guys wonder why Trump wins elections and you will be just as befuddled when Vance wins.

That one left political party in Europe is the only one that has figured it out: protect domestic working class labor markets, control immigration to an extremely manageable level and you can have all the other progressive policies your heart desires. Instead you gift wrap this massive issue up to the Republican Party.

You know nothing. Under the current law, there is literally no way for him to get legal status. None. You're one of the many who think there's some kind of "line" he can get into. There is none.

I pay 36 an hour. The minimum wage here is under 10. That's more than three times the minimum wage. What more do you want?
