What he said is 100% grounded in fact. Sorry you can't handle math.

He is truly idiotic. I haven't really heard him speak, but I can't believe anyone trusts him. He can't even elaborate his point.

Also, language is everything. Ponzi Scheme makes it sound sinister. Insurance makes it sound like a social serives program.

Also, WTH does he care. He has so much money. I love all the DCUM MAGA saying to "go fight in Gaza if you support them!" yet not calling out Elon to "Just write a check to the US government if you really care about the debt!"

If he had his names on buildings or was involved in any charitable giving, then sure, I might listen to what he has to say.

I hate his ugly ghoulish mask face and his light annoying Apartheider accent. F@ck him.

He doesn't understand Federal obligations. If he's truly worried about the debt, he'd stop backing enormous tax cuts. The normal retirement age for social security is now 67 for anyone born 1960 or later. It should be raised again for younger people and that's what he could say-not, let's layoff everyone at SSA and close their field offices. The solution he proposes does not cure the problem, it only makes it worse. He is both incompetent and a liar.

They didn’t think it through. They didn’t realize who they were voting for- thought it was for crime reduction and stop inflation…

Not utter destruction of democracy and burning the constitution ….

I don’t see how anyone could have watched Jan6 and not see this happening….good lord

You mean utter destruction of bureaucracy, not democracy.

Bureaucracy, i.e., the civil service, the rules & regulations, the monitored processes, is one of the pillars of a functioning democracy. Without what you derisively call “bureaucracy” we’ll have a corrupt banana republic-type of government, spoils system corrupting the government, a bunch of sycophants and cronies exploiting government for the benefit of a few, unrestrained contractors fleecing the public monies.

Exactly. They keep showing us how unserious they are about debt and budget every second that they keep clinging to trillions in tax cuts for the rich. Along with making government so much more INefficient and DYSfunctional with random unfocused layoffs, demoralizing threats, false accusations and demonization.

I feel sorry for anyone close to retirement. They are closing all the offices and want people to apply online. No more in person service.

All SS recipients earned every damn cent they receive and I truly believe that members of Congress would be in fear of their lives if monthly SS checks were late or stopped.

He’s a liar, but he’s not incompetent. He grew up during a period of martial law in South Africa where the government served only privileged white men. The police state disappeared everyone else. That’s what he wants. He doesn’t care about the deficit. He doesn’t care about curing the system.

On top of that, he’s drug addled.

What would actually save SS is having people who earn over 176,000 per year pay SS tax on the earnings that exceed that amount.

If a tax break wasn't already being given to the mega rich, there would be no issue at all.

Trump has apparently threatened their lives. Now, they will have to worry about the public. I bet even J6ers on social security will be mad, and they have weapons and criminal backgrounds.

Yes, your gubmint bureaucracy sure had those unrestrained contractors and NGOs in check.

Your view of reality is to be generous....surreal.
