Yeah they are much better than a “riff” lol. pathetic Dog. |
It’s RIF. And no. |
I don't think a RIF is a lump sum payment (all at once). It is paid out every 2 weeks. I checked my benefits system and if RIF'd I get 134K. Ready to be RIF'd by Elmo. |
It’s demonic-mode-Elmo. |
Yes, love it! |
This. It's financially better for me to be RIFd than to take the deal, even if the deal is honored. |
Most people don't get more than a few months severance, how are you making out better on rif? How many years of service and what is your age? |
the DOGE morons sent the Fork email to the FAA staffers reeling from the DCA crash even though the agency is super understaffed . |
I love you even more now. -DP |
Why would you think this? It's one week per year of service for the first 10, so right there somebody with 10 years gets 10 weeks. Now add 2 weeks for each additional year, plus age adjustment multiplier. I'll grant you that health insurance could be a factor. You do keep it for a short while if RIFd but that's not as good as keeping it on admin leave. |
DP. I would get 28 weeks. And I would have no restraints on searching for new employment. and most importantly there’s no guarantee I’m going to get RIFFEd anyway so why leave now at all? |
NTSB too. Imagine literally looking at the crash photographs and getting this email. |
An understaffed FAA, what could go wrong? |
They certainly could be for many, if you believe that any of those terms would be honored. However, the only document they are willing to give you in writing enables them to weasel out. Also, the government is not committing to the agreements. They are having line supervisers, who have no uthority to commit government funds, sign them. |
From https://www.oyez.org/cases/1989/88-1943 : Question: Does receipt of erroneous information from a government employee entitle a claimant to benefits he would not otherwise receive? Conclusion: No. |
