Why on earth would I make this up? Do you not listen to or read local news?? Witnessed at Safeway by DH who told manager who said their hands were tied. Witnessed by DD at Burlington (or maybe Marshalls, can't recall) who said nobody did anything after everyone witnessing. Here you go...catch up please: https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/arlington-lululemon-store-robbed-twice-in-two-hours/3654860/ Also, https://www.businessinsider.com/lululemon-employees-say-they-were-fired-reporting-robbery-to-police-2023-5 Apparently also an alarming trend where employees are fired for reporting -- which is why it's escalating. |
And you theory is that... Joe Biden is working Lululemon's HR department and is firing people for reporting shoplifting? I'm skeptical, but, uh... okay. |
So Biden is responsible for crime in Fairfax county! Dot you have a Republican governor? |
Getting tired of repeating myself.... No, that's not what I said...just disputing someone's post about crime going down since 2020. Not everything can be blamed on POTUS (regardless of who he his). When crime goes up it's not the POTUS alone who is to blame...but policies in place at all levels. It's become common now to witness shoplifting and see nothing be done. How can anyone be ok with this? This is not about Dem or Rep necessarily but rather the idiotic policies in place that have allowed this to be ok. I mean I might as well go down to Tysons now and go grab some really nice clothes and shoes and just walk out. Criminals who don't get caught will continue their illegal activities and escalate to bigger crimes. |

DP, those are corporate policies, NOT governmental or justice system policies you nimcompoop! I saw someone shoplifting at Safeway during the Trump administration, I was not dumb enough to think Trump was responsible for the dearth of security guards in the store. Some of you people had your brains shoplifted! |
Repeating again.....No, that's not what I said...just disputing someone's post about crime going down since 2020. Not everything can be blamed on POTUS (regardless of who he his). When crime goes up it's not the POTUS alone who is to blame...but policies in place at all levels. |
I beg to differ....justice system policies do indeed have a role or have you not heard of catch and release? Again, I'm not blaming Biden nor am I blaming Trump. |
Well, we're talking about politics here, not Lululemon's corporate policy. Try https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/forums/show/53.page They might be more interested in discussing corporate policy... |
Are you sure you'r ein the right thread? |
Nationally, about 24 to 27% of population is Catholic. But all votes are not equal, because of the electoral college, this is why campaigns focus so much on swing states. Follow are considered the swing states fo4 2024 along with their percentage of catholic voters. Only Wisconsin has more Catholics than the national average. Pennsylvania is close to the national average. % Catholic | electoral votes Georgia, 1% 16 North Carolina, 10% 16 Michigan, 17% 15 Nevada, 17% 6 Arizona 21% 11 Pennsylvania, 24 % 19 Wisconsin. 32% 10 Meaning: 29 votes where Catholic voters can be more influential than the rest of the US, vs 53 where the average percentage of Catholics in the electorate is 11.25%, less than half the national average. Plus, the political views of Catholics regarding abortion is pretty much the same as the rest of the electorate. They were still having 6-10 kids in a family during the baby boom (a lot of them lived on my street) but not much anymore. I suspect evangelicals probably have both a higher birthrate and more likely to oppose legal abortion. |
Yeah right. You are part of the problem and too stupid to realize it. |
Please show the union leader who has endorsed Trump. |
Thefts have occurred forever. I think you think that your second link shows that the Lulu Lemon employees were fired for calling the police, but you didn’t read the article. They filmed and interacted with the shoplifters, which is against store policy as that might have caused a physical escalation that could have resulted in staff or customers getting hurt. Which is pretty standard for companies: if you aren’t in Loss Prevention, you don’t prevent the loss except by watching people and alerting Loss Prevention. If you get shot on the job, you’re going to sue the store. |
| ^ math off, did not include AZ in either group. But AZ is a bit lower than the rest of the US in % of Catholics. Plus, they are split between Hispanic Catholics (6%) and non-Hispanic (15%) which could affect voting patters. |
