I hope Charles finds someone nice, seems like such a gentle soul. |
Geez why? It was a dumpster fire last time! |
Because Gerry wasn’t the real deal. Joan is (aside from the work haha). She reminds me of Trista, serious and there for the right reasons. Doesn’t seem like the type to get snowed, like some recent younger bachelorettes. For this reason I’m now glad Leslie wasn’t picked, not sure she has solid enough judgment to weed out the con artists and losers. |
I honestly couldn't believe it when they showed the flashback photos with her husband. She was a real plane Jane back in the day, who transformed herself with makeup, hair dye, and work in late middle age. Although I think she took it too far, and her over-emoting with such a tight face is hard you watch, she really did become quite glamorous and stylish. The men seem genuinely impressed with her (goes to show you most men do not give a fig about obvious work, but do like long blond hair and thin elegant bodies). She seems like a nice, grounded woman who truly loved her husband and mourned his loss deeply. I'm pulling for her! |
Someone whose kids are grown like, ahem, Mark? |
I think the whole moving/not moving thing is so silly. We're talking about retired people for whom this is a non issue! It's so common for retirees to live far from their kids. And wealthy retirees can travel easily. I just think these contestants are unserious, and the show just meaningless and not meant to create lasting couples anymore. |
I find that totally fascinating and true. My own dh will say a woman on tv looks great even when to me the woman looks borderline deformed and grotesque from plastic surgery. It's like he cannot tell! |
I think Gerry was not serious and was primarily in it for fame and money. The question about Theresa is whether she pulled a bait and switch with her promise to retire and move, or just quickly realized Gerry was not her knight in shining armor and she needed to be careful about any big decisions with respect to him. He got angry and frustrated with her reluctance, and that was that. Charleston was a pipe dream, they couldn't afford a nice place there anyway. Joan seems serious and that, if she chooses someone, it will almost certainly be after they've agreed on how to handle logistics. She watched what happened with G&T, and knows to avoid it. She seems like she has good judgment. I'm actually interested in seeing how things work out for her, and hopeful she'll make good decisions. |
My husband too, not one clue! |
Because they're mainly just looking at their bodies. Sad but true. |
I wonder if the bachelors were screened for whether they'd be willing to move. They may even have screened Joan herself for that question. |
I'm not going to name any names ... but did anyone else get the sense that ... not all of the bachelors are ... straight? |
I did notice one was extra…sensitive. But maybe he’s just sensitive. |
He seemed more blown away by the mansion than by Joan. |
