I think Gerry was not serious and was primarily in it for fame and money. The question about Theresa is whether she pulled a bait and switch with her promise to retire and move, or just quickly realized Gerry was not her knight in shining armor and she needed to be careful about any big decisions with respect to him. He got angry and frustrated with her reluctance, and that was that. Charleston was a pipe dream, they couldn't afford a nice place there anyway.

Joan seems serious and that, if she chooses someone, it will almost certainly be after they've agreed on how to handle logistics. She watched what happened with G&T, and knows to avoid it. She seems like she has good judgment. I'm actually interested in seeing how things work out for her, and hopeful she'll make good decisions.[/quote]
