This doesn't go nearly far enough. Why would we allow the first 5000 per day through and only then shut the border? Why can't we just enforce the border, all day, all the time, without letting the first 5000 in?

Biden could start exercising the authority he has *right now.* Republicans aren't holding him back. Instead, he is using his authority to make specious legal claims against states who are trying to defend their borders.

The people who back this bill are saying that nearly 2 million illegal entries a year is A-OK. Nope.

The US cannot take in all the migrants from around the world who are "yearning to be free." We cannot house, feed, clothe, and provide all the social services we have to everyone in the world who wants to come here. It is not possible.

What you fail to recognize is that this country is one of the most generous in the world when it comes to welcoming immigrants - who come here LEGALLY.

Scripture also commands man to follow law. These migrants entering illegally are breaking our laws. And, should be held accountable for that.

I said we need an adequate system. I didn’t say to open the border. Those of you saying they need to get in line and follow the law fail to understand there IS NO LINE for them to get in. What would you do if your family was in a war torn country and your only chance at survival was finding the border and hoping for the best? Republicans: The border is an emergency! We are being invaded every day by 1000s of terrorists, rapists, and criminals! The president and the Democrats must do something immediately!
