Trump is the only answer .

Fact: the number of illegal immigrants coming into the US increased every year that Trump was President, until 2020 when his incompetent COVID response destroyed our economy.

Fact: 2019, after 2 years of Trump's "tough" policies, saw a gigantic spike in illegal immigrants coming into the US.

FACT: when the problem got worse, he actually addressed it though, unlike Biden who completely opened the border. Illegal immigration cratered under Trump once he recognized the issue in 2019 and did something about it. Trump got stuff done. Biden and the Dems ruin everything.

More alternative facts.

Read the graph. If you can. Because, I am beginning to doubt you know how.

The tactic these trolls take is to simply deny, gaslight, and obfuscate. That’s it. When presented with facts, they will simply say they’re lies. Or “alternative facts.” But notice, they never back up their claims with any proof. Democrats are so incredibly dishonest about this issue.

And, you know what he did? He didn't go to Congress and insist on a "deal" in order to take care of it.
No, he actually told Mexico to get their act together, struck a deal with Mexico and threatened tariffs if they didn't follow through. And, illegal immigration fell as a result.
https://www.reuters.com/article/idUSKCN1TB17W/#:~:text=Last%20month%2C%20Trump%20threatened%205,across%20its%20border%20with%20Mexico.

Having said that, the spike we saw in 2019 pales in comparison to what we have seen with Biden. Under Biden, there hasn't been a "spike." There has been a steady stream of illegal migrants that has only grown month to month. The chart shows the numbers. And, this chart doesn't include the last 6 months of 2023 which is even greater. And, the chart does NOT include the 30,000 migrants that Biden has granted parole each month by abusing his parole authority.

He didn't blame Congress for not passing an immigration bill? "The president has blamed Democrats over the past couple of weeks for not passing a new immigration bill, even though Trump’s party controls both houses of Congress. Republican lawmakers are attempting Thursday to pass an immigration bill, but they will likely see defeat, as conservatives have so far failed to agree on a compromise." https://www.politico.com/story/2018/06/21/trump-immigration-congress-asylum-661213

The MPP struck his deal with Mexico in 2018. Illegal immigration went up a lot in both 2018 and 2019. It only went down in 2020 when Trump destroyed the economy so badly that even immigrants from third world countries didn't want to come here.

Trump's immigration policies were a complete failure.

Ooh, now tell us about how successful Joe Biden’s policies have been! You know, the ones he enacted on Day 1 by ENDING all of Trump’s protocols. Idiot.

- Mandatory detention of all single adults.

- Mandatory “shut down” of border once average daily migrant encounters hits 5,000. Importantly, this 5,000 number includes 1,400 CBP One app entries at ports of entry per day, and roughly 3,600 illegal crossings per day.

- How is that enforced? Once the 5,000 threshold is hit, a new authority is codified into law that requires Border Patrol to immediately remove illegal immigrants they catch without processing. They would not get to request asylum, they would immediately be removed. This includes removals back to Mexico, and deportations to home countries. This would be a *massive* change from current policy, which is that once an illegal immigrant reaches US soil, they must be processed via Title 8 and allowed to claim asylum. Under this new authority – they are not processed, and they are mandatorily immediately removed once the “shut down” threshold is reached.

- This “shut down” also takes effect is there are 8,500 migrant encounters in a single day.

- The “shut down” would not lift the next day. It wouldn’t lift until daily encounters are reduced to under 75% of the 5,000 threshold for at least two weeks. This means the “shut down” authority would not lift until two weeks of an average of less than 3,750 migrant encounters per day.

- Some family units will be released with ATD (Alternatives to Detention, ankle monitors etc).

- New removal authority to immediately remove all migrants who do not have valid asylum claims, which will be determined within 6 months rather than the years long process we have right now.

- Any migrant caught trying to cross twice during “shut down” phase would be banned from entering US for one year.

- US will need agreement with Mexico for MX to take back non Mexican illegal immigrants. This hasn't been ironed out yet.

- President Biden approves of the deal and is ready to sign it as is, right now, and implement the new authority it would give him.

This doesn't go nearly far enough. Why would we allow the first 5000 per day through and only then shut the border? Why can't we just enforce the border, all day, all the time, without letting the first 5000 in?

Biden could start exercising the authority he has *right now.* Republicans aren't holding him back. Instead, he is using his authority to make specious legal claims against states who are trying to defend their borders.

5000? No.

Hey all you “Christian patriots.” How do you justify wanting to put a stop to the most redeeming quality of this nation, that it is a melting pot? How do you justify going against what the Bible clearly lays out and what our country was founded on?

Leviticus 19:33-34 “When a stranger sojourns with you in your land, you shall not do him wrong. You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.”

Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door! The Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation, Inc.

Please explain why these words mean absolutely nothing to you. I am not saying the border should be wide open. But there should be an adequate system to let people in so that they can have a chance at a better life. If you don’t agree, then you are not living your life in the spirit of Jesus.

I don’t understand why we need a border “deal”. Why can’t we just ENFORCE laws already on the books?

Do you not understand that our laws allow the current situation? If someone comes to the border - legal port of entry or crossing the border at unauthorized point - and they claim asylum, the law REQUIRES us to take them and keep them in the country until they are adjudicated.

Trump and Biden received special powers during the COVID emergency to reject asylum seekers immediately. That power went away once the COVID emergency ended.

Or do you want Biden to reinstate the Covid emergency? Weird stance for a Republican given your hissy fits about Covid.

This is not true. Please cite the law that says "REQUIRES."

Just stop.
The US cannot take in all the migrants from around the world who are "yearning to be free." We cannot house, feed, clothe, and provide all the social services we have to everyone in the world who wants to come here. It is not possible.

What you fail to recognize is that this country is one of the most generous in the world when it comes to welcoming immigrants - who come here LEGALLY.

Scripture also commands man to follow law. These migrants entering illegally are breaking our laws. And, should be held accountable for that.

Whether you think Biden mass imported 8 million or 16 million third-worlders (average guess: 12 million) in just 3 years, that's greater than the populations of ~44/50 US states. It's a whole new Top-10 population state worth of people!!

Absolutely no more illegal immigrants until the ones already here have been processed.

They don’t believe in the Bible, that’s reason one. They believe in the prosperity gospel and similar “theology.”

Now, do what the Bible says about following laws. And, consider that these people breaking our laws and entering illegally are not following scripture.

Yeah that’s great and all but you guys have never been able to grasp that claiming asylum is following the law.

Oh and Matthew 25:45-46.

I agree but it's better than our current situation. I live in Edinburg, TX and this is not sustainable.

And, when they lie as they claim asylum, they are breaking another law.
