Zero. Also no proof they live apart. Just a whisper campaign amplified by the rabid Sussex supporters.

Speaking of rabid fandoms, Meghan and Harry took their kids to watch a 4th of July parade and Meghan haters are still dissecting it a week later. Yikes!

People on both sides are quite weird.

True, but I find the Meghan haters weirder because I a neither for or against any of these people (I just find them entertaining as a concept, but don't hate them or love them), but if I say anything even remotely critical about Kate (even like "I'm not sure about that headpiece") I get assumes of bing a "rabid Susses supporter." But if I criticize Meghan for wearing wrinkled shorts, no one tells me I must hate Kate and everything she stand for. There's definitely a lot more craziness on one side than the other, though I do think using either of these women as some kind of parasocial avatar is weird.

We are all interested in these people because of what they are - British royalty. Meghan, although she was both liked and disliked before she left, broke her side of the contract. She un-British royaled herself. So many Anglophiles are unhappy with her for that. She doesn't even have the grace to fade quietly into obscurity but is using her position as Duchess to continue seeking the limelight. Which is a strange thing for an American to do.

She was very naive about the situation, poor thing.

Diana had misgivings and her sisters pressured her into the marriage.

I’ve been with my husband for almost 30 years and if we had multiple houses we would definitely benefit from being able to spend some more time apart. Through most of human history men and women did not spend so much time together. It works for some couples but many couples would be happier with more separate spheres. I think Victoria and Albert were the first British royals to share a bedroom and it was considered weird. If they are somewhat unhappy with each other, it speaks well of them that they are not airing that dirty laundry in public and creating drama all around. Generally, I think Kate is doing a very good job at her job. The only real miss I can think of is the trip to the Caribbean where they both seem totally unprepared. And possibly she should have done a better job smoothing over the Megan drama, but I think it’s really hard to say exactly what went down there.

I do judge them for living apart since they have young kids AND because a huge part of their public persona is selling them both as these loving and doting parents. So if Kate is in the country with the kids and her parents, and William is at Kensington on his own (and especially if the affair rumors are true), then yes, I do judge that. Because in that case he is effectively abandoning his kids, plus the whole set up would be incredibly hypocritical given the image they work VERY hard to portray to the public. Like you can't live in separate houses and see your kids a few times a month, and then release family photos portraying your family as very close knit and loving, and have me think highly of you.

I would have very different comments about a private family, but these are people supported by the state, living off money that originated from taxing commoners and stealing from colonies, and who argue that their existence should continue because they are a steadying, family-centric, moral and ethical influence on the populace. You cannot make that argument while living separately, excepting one parent from any parenting duties, and especially not if William really is sleeping around. Nope. You want to do that? Give your land and money back to the people and go be private citizens somewhere.

Where has it been reported that they live apart?

Dissecting it where? How would you know? Are you purposefully seeking this stuff out and then calling everyone else "rabid"?

In her defense, Meghan was chased out of the country by the tabloids and British press
I occasionally browse British media and am appalled by how she has been treated

I do not think anyone British is surprised by their actions
Harry is not the heir, there is no need for him to stick around

They are rebuilding their lives, media and acting is a business they know. What are you really expecting from them?

+1 I never see any of the royals come up in any of my feeds. If you do, consider why that is.

Uh, no. If you criticize Meghan's shorts you get reported for being a virulent racist. Not the same at all. No criticism is allowed.

This…. is just not reality. This thread is full of posters accusing any criticism of the Kate/Wills marriage as being from Sussex Squad (or whatever weird name they use).

The very first post on this page is an example!

Meghan was brought up (in a critical way) on the very first page of this thread—which is about Kate. It’s like criticizing this woman is an obsession for some.

It’s truly bizarre how Meghan haters behave. It’s quite cultish.

Nah, I just like internet drama. One of the previous times they were mentioned here I went to twitter to see what people were saying and found a ton of really outrageous theories that are blindly accepted within their group. So when I saw a thread about Kate it prompted me to check on that group again.

Just because you don’t see it doesn’t mean it’s not happening. I don’t see baseball things in my feed but I accept that’s still a sport.

All of the posts dissecting Kate's behavior around William are from pro Meghan social media accounts. What does that tell you? Why are these people so invested in their marriage? They really need to believe a divorce is imminent for some bizarre reason.

So? What’s wrong with being “pro Meghan”? (What even does that mean?)

That doesn’t speak to the anti Meghan posters’ behavior. You aren’t going to suggest that there aren’t anti-Meghan subreddits, Twitter accounts, media, etc? Those places and people are truly evil and cultish.

I think media has been playing this theory of the 2 women being in a feud.

If that is not enough then every Kate commentator who is not a fan is automatically her hater or a Meghan fan

I think the Wales' have made extra effort to put Kate out there and looking happy and relaxed because of stories like this that have been circulating since the coronation: https://nypost.com/2023/05/17/why-angry-kate-middleton-refused-to-curtsy-to-queen-camilla-at-coronation/

There was also some scuttlebutt about Kate "upstaging" the king and queen at a flower show, and it's just interesting how much press coverage the Wales have gotten, but especially Kate, since the coronation -- they are much more visible than Charles or Camilla.

I wouldn't assume anything about Kate's actual emotions based on any of this, but she (and her team) are doing a good job with her image in terms of making her look busy and likable, which is pretty much her entire job.

I agree with this--it would be wrong to assume anything from staged photo ops. The Daily Mail comment section is full of people complaining the DM is pushing "Saint Kate" stories that don't always ring true.

For the record, I think Kate and Meghan are both great women. It's OK to be a strong woman and not lie down for everything your husband or your public want you to be.

What does "pro Meghan" mean? Are words confusing to you? Scroll back a few pages and see what some of Meghan's fans have to say about Kate. It's happening on all sides. Yes, all these people are evil. Nobody should get a pass. Spending your time posting videos to try to demonstrate that someone's husband doesn't love them or may be cheating on them is super messed up. But, it's right there a few pages back.

On a personal and vapid note, I am sorry they left because I feel cheated out of so many glorious hats and outfits- and the children’s clothing, too. Meghan is quite photogenic and I am bored with looking at California linen and shorts. I wish they would go back to England, the media and tabloids have already done their worse. It does seem that now they have of killed the goose that laid the golden egg.
