Don't do it, OP. I'm progressive female and married a centrist male and it was a disaster during the trump years even though he hated trump. The only way I think different political leanings could work is if the female is slightly more conservative. Generally speaking, to be a right wing male, there is misogyny underlining every belief.

Conservative men fix things, take care of the lawn/yard, paint rooms, fix light fixtures, do the taxes, grill, take orders when there is a party, plan tail gates, do the dishes, take their plates to the sink, set up tvs, move furniture, coach kids sports teams, help with nighttime routine (anything family), etc.

Things are equal but fall on gender norm lines.

Liberal men don't do any of those things?

There was an article detailing how Reagan succumbed to the "party of family values" southern baptist groups. He was not originally that right wing, as evidenced by his tenure as CA governor.

I have a very conservative husband and I still have my name after 20+ years of marriage, he was very supporting during my abortion, he treats our daughters very well (they are apple in his eyes), and he contribute 80% toward all house work (I don't cook and I don't clean).
