He’s undergoing brain surgery now, yes.

Will he make a full recovery?

That was the initial report, but it came before he went into surgery.

He was awake and oriented, talking to his wife just prior to surgery. More likely they are going to reinforce any compressed fractures caused by the hammer to ensure there will be no later complications involving his brain.

Have you read an updated article? All the articles I've seen with details of the attack (not the initial articles) said the attacker tried to tie Pelosi up but Pelosi was able to dial 911 and leave the phone on so the dispatcher could hear what was happening, so police were sent out to check on the situation.

Sounds like the guy was not in control of the scene. That’s common with unorganized attackers and indicates mental instablility
