? It’s the monarchy the vast majority of marriages lasted without actual love. They didn’t last because Camilla wanted to be married to Charles. Which she now is.

So did Diana, and considering the vitriol DCUM reserves for the Other Women, it’s surprising that she gets off scot free. Many of her lovers were married men.

I will never understand why people bring this up as some sort of gotcha that because she had affairs the affair he had first doesn’t count?

The current generation of royals are no strangers to divorce. Charles and Diana didn’t seem to even like each other let alone love each other. I don’t think there’s any chance in hell that they would have still been married in the year 2022.

And it doesn’t matter what other monarchs have done in the past….the queen reigned for 70 years and in that time divorce became WAY more socially acceptable. THere’s no way Diana stays in a loveless marriage even if a piano or something had fallen on Camilla.

I’m pretty sure by the end of her life Diana realized that being a princess was not worth sacrificing her own mental health and happiness. Charles was also going to become King regardless.

Why would it matter to the wives of the men Diana was having an affair with that her husband cheated on her first? They aren't going to be more sympathetic to her.
