Oh, and since I'm asking, do you feel that Ivanka and Jared should also be investigated? If not, why not?

Sure, investigate them all.
I want other people to acknowledge and accept (and talk about) the fact that major US multimedia companies (Twitter and Facebook, etc.) summarily dismissed a story (and banned a paper - the Post, but still) that has been since proven true. Just the fact that it is Hunter’s laptop was not allowed to be discussed and that should be a huge deal.
I want people to make sure that we don’t allow the media to suppress or misrepresent facts and eschew accountability. I want people to think of the implications of this beyond Repubs.

In the real world, the alt-right have overtaken so much of the Republican party and media that nonsense cannot be allowed. Twitter and Facebook wised up. Eventually.

In the real world, aka not your imaginary world of "alt-right" taking over the Republican party, the laptop and how it was handled is extremely damaging. People have no faith or confidence in the media and big tech. And now it looks clear key government officials also deliberately lied to pretend the laptop was "Russian collusion," people increasingly also have no faith or confidence in the leadership of the government. Twitter banned any discussion of the laptop for, what, two weeks, as misinformation. Be very honest with yourself: had this laptop been Donald Trump Junior's, would twitter have done the same? You and I both know the answer is no.

You'd have to be blind to not see how bad this appears to the rank and file public. But I also know it's pointless pointing this out to certain posters on DCUM

Exactly, We have 51 former intelligence officials writing a public letter claiming this was Russian disinformation. Without a shred of evidence for that claim.
Great intelligence there, geniuses.

And, people wonder why we don't trust the US intelligence agencies.

I just wonder if there was any coordination between the Biden campaign, the tech companies, the media and any of these so-called intelligence officials to ensure this story was buried.

Without a doubt, and you can add the Democratic Party

You have no idea what classified reports they have access to and additionally the laptop was in the hands of unknown people so there wasn’t a clean chain of custody. They could plant anything on it. But please feel free to keep dreaming of wild conspiracies.

They were FORMER intelligence officers. The idea that they had access to any kind of classified reports is a bunch of crap. And, let's just say they DID have access to classified reports. That makes the entire intelligence community pretty weak since we now know the laptop and its contents are authentic.

And, you may not know that the original laptop was given to the FBI. A copy was made prior to handing it over. And, the emails and texts that have been published have been authenticated by people on the emails chains. And, don't you find it interesting that Hunter has not said that any of the photos or videos of him are not authentic?

This whole story just further erodes trust in media, our IC, and the biased tech groups.

I believe 51 former IC professionals a lot more than I believe you. Also if you think this was mishandled, it happened on Trump’s watch, not Biden’s. It is really traitorous to sow distrust in our institutions when we are on the brink of war. Shame on you.

Hilarious that you think a president has control over former intelligence officials.
Or that you think Trump can control the media, big tech, the Democrats or others who buried them this story.

DP...that whole thread is BS. The underlying facts are well known. "Biden's request" was on behalf of the civilized world to root out the criminality in the Ukrainian government. the UN, EU and US Government all backed this request. It wasn't done by personal choice, gain or on a whim. It was the official stance of the US and its allies around the world.

What qualifications did the former guy’s daughter and son-in-law have to work in the White House and represent the US government abroad?

No qualifications other than a law degree and over 20 years worth of relevant experience in corporate governance and international finance with major banks and law firms, which is vastly more qualifying experience than Ivanka had when she was handed cushy international business deals worth tens of millions.
