| Can someone explain why on earth Curling teams are separated by gender? |
is there any Olympic sport that is not? |
The equestrian sports aren't. And yeah, I was wondering the same thing about the curling teams. Does anybody know? |
There are a few Olympic sailing events that are mixed. |
| Vincent Zhou has had to officially withdraw from the men’s event because of the positive Covid test. |
That sucks.
|
|
I feel so bad for Zhou, especially after reading some quotes from him.

Oh my goodness, that is just heartbreaking. |
| I’m also still salty about Tara’s win in 98 |
I hope the rest don’t end up positive. Does this mean Ilia Malinin gets to skate? |
| I am so worried for Nathan right now |
There are mixed curling teams too. It's doubles rather than 4 player. I don't know why there's not a 4 player mixed team though. |
No, because Vincent already competed in the team event, they aren't allowed to use an alternate for him. |
I don’t know. Maybe it’s similar to bowling where strength can make a difference, even if your aim is precise. |
They already published the start order. Once they publish the start order they can’t send an alternate. Plus there the men skate tonight so there is no chance he could get there in time. REALLY worried for the rest of the US figure skating team |
