It’s not DC. It’s a couple of council members, notably Nadeau and Allen. Their one and only goal is to hold on to their seats. They’ve created an echo chamber in which they egg each other on so as to who could do worse for DC residents, like when they organized a hands off DC “march on the Capitol”. Just horrific.

No. But it makes you a stupid racist to think poor, rural white people are not trying to steal from Walmart.

I’m unaware of any looting / violent group thefts at Walmarts in rural areas. This either is not a real thing or isn’t making the news.

Walmart has very strong security and close relationships with local law enforcement. These thefts target stores with high value items, limited security measures and in a municipality with limited appetite for criminal sanctions of this behavior.

Boiling it down to a black/white thing is racist and stupid. Go spend some time in rural WVa/Ohio/Kentucky or visit an Indian reservation. You will get a very strong understanding that poverty is poverty, regardless of race.

So your point is that white people aren’t looting stores because it’s harder to do so? Basically white people would be looting local Walmarts if they didn’t have as good of security and relationships with local enforcement ?

Instead I would say that it’s simply not socially or culturally acceptable in these rural areas to loot a Walmart.

I live in a rural area with a Walmart as the main store.
The locals here would never dream of committing the crimes we are seeing in urban areas. I am sure there is some shoplifting as you find everywhere. But, the smash and grabs and mob thefts? No way.
First of all, they know if they get caught they will be harshly prosecuted. None of the "restorative justice" here. They will go to jail and will be punished. Secondly, they will bring shame to their families. In rural areas, people actually know each other. A crime like this would be the talk of the town for weeks. And lastly, they have friends and families that actually work at these establishments. They would be arrested in no time.
It just doesn't happen.
