Apparently the math books are unacceptable because they’re not published by Carlyle Group affiliate Accelerate Learning, so that’s why Florida has to go out and buy all new ones. From the Carlyle Group. Most recently chaired by Glenn Youngkin.

I have less of an issue with the materials on any racial/political grounds than I do with the use of non-zero-based y-axis in the charts, that's terrible data viz 101 and makes the charts quite misleading. There are some cases where non-zero-based is fine and can be made quite clear, but this is basically a direct example of what not to do.
