You mean MV has not helped players get recruited to a college program? No flipping way!!! |
Don't you mean JA? He's responsible for FVU recruiting? How can he work recruiting for Bethesda and FVU? |
I'd say less than that. most of the team will come from the outside of the "alliance" |
Who has a significantly better and closer for McLean families? Its not Arlington. And is Bethesda a real option for most families as young as 2014? I doubt it... FVU can continue with the mishaps and they will still collect a pool of players from Fairfax, CO that can compete every year at any age level. The only ECNL club in Fairfax Co is enough. |
|
Has anyone noticed that McLean’s 2016 Boys Green is the only McLean team ranked # 1 in the State?
|
Rankings for 2016s! Ha! |
Only their parents noticed or cared. |
This is the logic of the FVU leadership. We are the only club in Fairfax so coaching doesn’t matter. For a NL level, families will drive for better coaching. Good players would drive to Richmond to get away from MV. The older players have already left. The 2012s and 2013s that are having success will all be gone within 2 years. Boys are the worst ECNL club in the nation and it is the same leadership for the girls. Just give them time to make sure they have double header weekends with zero wins. |
| Wondering about FVU's current process of looking at U12 players selected by feeder club coaches. Are those the only kids who they will realistically consider for the team next year?? Does a player who is unknown to them prior to tryouts have any sort of chance? A bit frustrated because DC left a team where they almost certainly would have been one of the kids picked to be looked at by the FVU coaches, but on new team does not have access to such opportunities. It was DC's choice to leave the old team due to a toxic coach and teammates. Maybe would have wanted to stick it out if we had known how FVU was handling things this year. I do find it hard to believe a couple of the kids from the old team have a real shot at making the FVU team, but at least they are getting exposure to the coaches. |
FVU has very little clew about the players other than what an aligned coach might tell them. So you good bro |
If your kids good they are good, coaches will take the best. But if you knew you wanted to go to fvu in the long run, you probably should have tried to stick it out. Coaches talk and what they say to each other also holds high value |
FVU already compiled the names of players who are currently at alliance clubs. FVU also know who they are interest in. |
The issue is the management of FVU, esp GM. GM wants to keep a sole control of FVU by himself, disregarding other alliance clubs. McLean would've still be here if GM didn't try to take total control of FVU. 2014 and older girls might be ok but younger girls might need to consider where they will be in few years. FVU boys are so bad that ECNL handed warning about losing the national charter. Having successful older girls teams and only ECNL in Fairfax are only reason to keep them alive as of now. |
Based solely on coach recommendations, or something else? |
coaches recommendations and some in-person observations/veo. Joint practices might happen to take a closer look. |
