Hayfield Football Coach Fired

Anonymous wrote:All this can be solved real easily. Just show up at Hayfield and follow the cars home after practice (or slap them with some hidden air tags/trackers) the next few weeks and see if they go home to FFX or PWC. If it’s FFX, drop it. If it’s PWC document it and get back in front of a judge and catch them at it before their next game. It’s really simple.

Unfortunately it has basically been done. People have documented the kids getting dropped off/picked up in a van at the 7-11 and getting shipped back to Woodbridge all year long and FCPS has ignored it.

A third team Overton screwed over in just one season.

To be fair, he has screwed over 9 of the 10 opponents he faced this season, as well as his own program and Freedom's. But hey, he has to live vicariously through kids...

Um I don’t think so

played HS won states himself
Played minor league won multiple titles
Played some Pro football
Opened up a successful youth program for football
Has a kid playing college football
Has family that played multiple years of Pro football
Put multiple kids in college athletics

I would think it’s safe to say football is what he does and knows. Can’t get that far bar cheating

"Can’t get that far bar cheating"

Coach Overton, have someone proofread your posts before hitting submit you pathetic cheater.

I wonder if you would be man enough to say that to his face, or would you like to continue to hide behind the keyboard. Your probably one of those that ish but have 911 on speed dial

I personally know people who have said that to his face multiple times at multiple schools. It’s not his face that’s the problem. It’s his ego. I love how you immediately go to violence. Typical Hayfield cheater post.

This is plausible. Someone would need to hire a PI service that FCPS or the VHSL uses (apparently not a conflict of interest if you do) and have the entire sequence documented over the course of several day. Gather video and photos. Make sure to zoom in for faces of players and parents. Write down, video and take pictures of all locations that pick-up and drop offs take place. Then send all the information to FCPS, the VHSL and the judge. Someone should hire Alex Cross for this! That way we are DEI compliant.

Wait, you are right. This has been done before and was mishandled, ignored and beaten in court on a procedural issue. Maybe this is a lesson to all of us that have a moral compass to dot our I’s and cross our T’s when encountering a group of immoral degenerates that have a significant amount of practice in cheating in the past. Those of you not in the know, this has been going on for years with Overton. YEARS. He knows what he is doing. He has every loophole memorized and will learn from his mistakes in this to better prepare to cheat again next season and for many seasons to come. This will not be the last time he does this at any public school unless he leaves and goes to a private school.

“After Friday’s injunction was granted, FCPS said in a release that it “applauds the hard work and dedication of all of our student-athletes during the regular season, and we look forward to cheering on all of our participants in postseason competition over the next several weeks.””

No it appears that FCPS has shown Hayfield undue favoritism all along.

No they haven’t. If that were the case FCPS would’ve filled the motion and not parents. FCPS has attorneys and resources to get it do. They were just going to stand by and let Hayfields Program get screwed by some racist pieces of s****.

I predict more VHSL football programs will hire chaplains to join the coaching staff. Why should Hayfield and Liberty Christian have that spiritual advantage, but no other VHSL teams.

Other wildly successful public school programs also have Christian chaplains who provide emotional and spiritual support. This is becoming a trend among successful prep and college programs, especially since Coach Prime has come out in support of team chaplains.

FCPS did not have standing to bring issue to court. As part of VHSL, they are bound to that process. The parents and kids got to the injunction by filing a defamation suit and then the injunction. FCPS could not have done that. What they did do is hook Hatfield up with the FCPS attorney that has been working this with inside counsel since before August. Make no mistake, FCPS is backing Hayfield.

Definitely not. This whole saga is otherworldly however. Or at least some mysterious force is at work here. —> It’s like a Korean drama. The plot changes from week to week.

But seriously, only Hayfield and Liberty Christian are the only VHSL teams that tap into this spiritual angle that can give teams an advantage. The WSJ and LATimes have written about this (among numerous other papers/news media outlets).

The simple fact that the judge asked the VHSL lawyer, ‘What does the Proselytizing Rule mean?’ And he replied, ‘that’s a good question ‘, shows they were on a witch hunt.

I think Liberty Christian is private though.

It’s not a public charter? When did they join the VHSL?

Would have been a long ride home. At this point think most on DCUM could tell you what the rules says. That was the easy softball question.

Super educated comeback. Keep playing the race card with something that has nothing to do with race. Expected comment from someone who doesn’t know right from wrong. Typical from a Hayfield football parent or coach.
