Other wildly successful public school programs also have Christian chaplains who provide emotional and spiritual support. This is becoming a trend among successful prep and college programs, especially since Coach Prime has come out in support of team chaplains.

Creepy Karen the pedophile. Is that you?

Definitely not. This whole saga is otherworldly however. Or at least some mysterious force is at work here. —> It’s like a Korean drama. The plot changes from week to week.

But seriously, only Hayfield and Liberty Christian are the only VHSL teams that tap into this spiritual angle that can give teams an advantage. The WSJ and LATimes have written about this (among numerous other papers/news media outlets).

I think Liberty Christian is private though.

It’s not a public charter? When did they join the VHSL?

Liberty Christian joined the VHSL because it is more cost effective for them to travel to local public schools in their area then to travel hours to private schools. Also, not many private schools in their area of Virginia and they were struggling to schedule games, so made sense for them to join. They were voted into the VHSL by VHSL member schools several, maybe 7-8, years ago.

That sounds like a weird one-off situation. Maybe the VHSL should just throw their hands up and move to a California type model like the CIF Southern Section that governs interscholastic sports of all high schools, both public (like Torrey Pines or Mission Viejo) and private (like Mater Dei or St John Bosco). They all compete against eachother in their respective leagues and then playoffs.

Also, in California there are very strict recruiting rules in place that are enforced, yet they have the dominant football programs in the country.

Would have been a long ride home. At this point think most on DCUM could tell you what the rules says. That was the easy softball question.

If they wanted to, they could make a case of that rule for 90% of the high schools in northern Virginia. This was a "Im white and I say so” rule.

A third team Overton screwed over in just one season.

To be fair, he has screwed over 9 of the 10 opponents he faced this season, as well as his own program and Freedom's. But hey, he has to live vicariously through kids...

Um I don’t think so

played HS won states himself
Played minor league won multiple titles
Played some Pro football
Opened up a successful youth program for football
Has a kid playing college football
Has family that played multiple years of Pro football
Put multiple kids in college athletics

I would think it’s safe to say football is what he does and knows. Can’t get that far bar cheating

"Can’t get that far bar cheating"

Coach Overton, have someone proofread your posts before hitting submit you pathetic cheater.

I wonder if you would be man enough to say that to his face, or would you like to continue to hide behind the keyboard. Your probably one of those that ish but have 911 on speed dial

Pure projection (look it up) on your part. Yet another pathetic, low-information Overton supporter.

BTW, I have said it to his face. He wasn't even man enough to muster a response. He is as pathetic as those who support him.

lol, now I KNOW your lying. As a MAN you don’t have to get in here and try to prove anything, because beyond those work hours it’s all a different ballgame. But ok, proceed

Yet again more projection on your part. Every time you post you prove me right. God you are pathetic. Is that you coach? Still mad you got smoked by the one good program you guys played all year?

lol, if it was me “the coach” YOU would know and all the “keyboarding” your doing you wouldn’t be doing. hayfield losing to the one good program has only set them up for success from the standpoint they won’t face no one else like that ALL year.

I personally know people who have said that to his face multiple times at multiple schools. It’s not his face that’s the problem. It’s his ego. I love how you immediately go to violence. Typical Hayfield cheater post.

That’s the difference, im not him, and respect will not be negotiated.

THIS IS NOT A RACE ISSUE. GIVE IT UP!!!

No it’s just a white supremacy issue.

Someone like this will only call the police after beat the crap out of them. Overton did right. Let’s Hayfield do their talking on the football field. And let the Washington Post, Max Preps, and Sports Illustrated talk for them when they post the highlights and score of that 70-0 victory.

No it appears that FCPS has shown Hayfield undue favoritism all along.

No they haven’t. If that were the case FCPS would’ve filled the motion and not parents. FCPS has attorneys and resources to get it do. They were just going to stand by and let Hayfields Program get screwed by some racist pieces of s****.

Yeah, it’s just a coincidence they are using an attorney on retainer w the FCPS. Sit this one out.

Ummm it was a member of the hayfield football coaching staff that got busted doing creepy things with minors earlier this year, no?

Looks like we may get to see some of the matchups us local sports fans were looking forward to. Assuming the win the preliminary games, a Madison vs WL showdown and the winner getting to play Hayfield before the best of this side of the bracket deals with the southern teams.

Battlefield I think is on a tougher side of the bracket. Every team in their way is capable of beating them.

I’ll be on the edge of my seat for the next few weeks.

1. You’re.
2. Learn how and when to use quotation marks.
3. You didn’t lose to RB coach. You got spanked. That’s why you’ve always dodged good programs.
4. Every time you post you prove me right. I’m living rent free in your head. God you’re pathetic.

The VHSL are the ones that tried to cheat. Used some bogus rule that is never enforced to try and clear Hayfield out of the way hoping a whiter football team would get to the championship. It wouldn’t be "organic”, if Hayfield wasn’t in the postseason.

It was the VHSL who was bussing kids to/from Woodbridge and the 7/11 next door to Hayfield daily? Thanks. I didn’t know that.
