Comical that HC booster keeps trying to equate it to ND but with a better location...I'd rather be in South Bend, sorry.

You would be alone in desire to be in South Bend. Median home price in South Bend as of July is $187,000. In Worcester median home price is $435,000 same time period.

Are you dense? It has nothing to do with home values and everything to do with campus life. HC is a big yawn by comparison and both Worcester and South Bend access to major cities requires getting in a car and driving at least an hour.

If Notre Dame was in the SEC, it would be a mid level team.

Mileage from HC to Boston 45 miles, distance from ND to Chicago 95 miles big difference.

Paying 435k to live in Worcester is as stupid as paying 400k to go to BC. Neither is a responsible decision

I don’t know. Both my kids looked at HC and thought it was too small and limiting. One ended up at ND and loved it. The other is yet to apply to colleges and is undecided on whether she will apply to HC. Maybe as a safety. Her high school had like a 80% acceptance rate.

My kid didn’t go to South Bend for the location. He went for the education and overall campus experience. Some might prefer the more laid back and small campus of HC, but you can’t deny the ND has it over HC with campus life, academics, and athletics. There is no comparison.

Must be a lot of BC grads living in South Bend.

After another lackluster football season the Irish can anticipate a Gator Bowl matchup with Ole Miss.

Someone compared the two cities. Thank you for agreeing that Worcester is far superior. And for the poster who laments driving an hour to get to Boston, the only “major city,” it is obvious you are not from the New England. By New England standards, Worcester is a major city — the second largest in all of New England.

You can buy a studio in Manhattan or Brooklyn for 435k. Only a moron would stay in Worcester.

The issue isn’t the size of Worcester. Providence, Portland, Portsmouth, Stamford, and West Hartford are all way nicer. Worcester isn’t worth the crap in a public toilet
