College of the Holy Cross?

BC boosters don’t mention the night school.
At one of my wife’s former company a few women attended that program part time and graduated with normal BC degrees. Very admirable and saved big bucks. But schools in the top 25 don’t offer part time degree granting night programs.

Harvard extension been around long time but they distinguish the part degrees from extention to Master of Liberal Arts (ALM degree). Objective not too cheapen a full time Harvard degree. That is different than BC night school.

Very different. No one at extension puts AB Harvard College on their resume without committing fraud. Some clown from BC night school gets an undifferentiated bachelors degree. They didn’t even need to pay 400k for it either!!!

Agree anyone that would pay $95k s year for Boston College is foolish. Several state flagships offer comparsble outcomes.

You don't get it. It's about the journey, not the destination.

To the OP’s observation concur Holy Cross people are more polite than BC students and grads. HC grads resemble ND alums more polite. Boston College’s archrivals are the Newton residents.

Holy Cross is a very good school. For kids that can’t get into Williams or Amherst, it is a solid choice and the proximity to Boston a big plus.

I’d rather spend 400k on a multi year cruise around the world

Yes. BC is very crass. Lots of sex and drug talk. Curse like sailors at sporting events. Really a blight on chestnut hill

Would you pay that for HC? I am confused about what you are doing here if you don't value education.

In other words, not now.

That’s the best you got?

Holy Cross is a great fit for kids that want a strong academic and social vibe. Very few LACs offer Division1 sports they had close to 16,000 for the Homecoming Game against Harvard (Crimson won easily). Only model to compare it to is smaller version of ND but with better location near Boston. HC also meets 100% of demonstrated need.
