You are. 90% of the posts in this thread were written by the same Holy Cross nutjob. |
| We toured it recently and for our kids might be a match if lucky enough to get in. Glad its test optional. |

Apply to HC ED. Like a lot of schools they give preference.
|
It is true that Holy Cross is a very good outcome. A top student can get in ED and be done with it — and enjoy senior year. Applicants too often make the mistake of applying ED for high reaches rather than high targets/low reaches like Holy Cross. ED will not help with high reaches, so many of these students end up with way worse outcomes in the RD round… |
| Being from a full pay family will help at Holy Cross and just about every top private this year. |
| HC is in a bad city with a bad campus (they ran an highway right in front of it and “WooSTA” is a dump) and horrible weather. Yet, something very, very positive happens there. Graduates are smart, positive and they stick together and take care of each other and promote the school. The whole is indeed massively greater than the sum of the parts. |

Visited think the HC campus is beautiful. Must not have been accepted.

^ Partially right graduates are smart positive and highly successful and they take care of each other. Big time.
|
| Fascinating that the HC boosters refuse to let this thread die. It makes me think twice about letting my kid enroll if accepted. I realize some of these places like ND and others can be cultish, but this is a whole other level...like they are trying to convince themselves something is true by repeating it over and over. |
| How is ND cultish |
| It’s so hard to read this desperate thread |
| Reeks of insecurity |
| ND has the cred. HC ultra-boosters just look like such strivers. |
| HC and ND have really loyal grads both good choices for kids. DD will apply to both but ND will be a reach. |
