I’m inclined to agree. |
It’s hopeless. These are lost women. They are deeply, deeply obsessed with the trial. They’re sick. |
+1. Not the same thing at all. One text was crass, the others talked about murdering her! No one accused AH of being classy and she’s proven she isn’t. But JD’s behavior goes beyond the pale- he’s disgusting. |
The degree of internalized misogyny and celebrity fan-girling is dismaying. |

I found some videos of the Hollywood Film Awards in 2014 where Depp made a fool of himself on national TV.
This is a reference Amber's sister made in court. I'd rather deal with a druggy and not a out of control drunk. I'm sure this is what Amber dealt and endured on daily basis. She was young and feisty for sure, but Why are people so blind and want to protect him. Unbelievable! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlYUkjY5AJ0 |
I heard what they were saying in those texts is from Monty Python |
The texts go far beyond Monty Python. In MP, there is a scene where a woman is falsely accused on being a witch, and the men debate it they should burn her or should try drowning her first to test if she’s really a witch (because witches would float rather than drown), with part of the joke being that obvious implication that she will end up dead either way regardless of whether she is a witch, which didn’t seem to register with the men. Depp took the joke a step beyond Heard being a witch and burning vs drowning, saying that once Heard was dead, he would f#ck her corpse to make sure she was really dead. |
Depp’s comment inadvertently demonstrated that he couldn’t grasp the parody of misogyny as lampooned by Monty Python. In his text, he becomes one of the villagers, and wants to ratchet the violence up. This thread is so crazy. It’s honestly, legitimately, shocking. I give thanks that I love myself, my mother, my friends, and my daughter enough to not fall into some self-hating traps that too many of you here are locked into. It’s just so sad. |
I agree that this thread is deeply disturbing. Ironically, it proves the point of Heard’s 2018 op-Ed. |
I wasn't able to find any photos of Camille and Johnny holding hands. Do you have a link? I found photos of hugging - but also saw photos of Johnny hugging other lawyers, including Ben Chew. I also found lots of photos of Amber hugging her lawyers, too. It seems pretty common and nothing unusual or untoward. |

behind a paywall |
And that's the problem. You cannot excuse her violent behavior by saying it does not matter. An abuser is an abuser whether it is man or woman. they were mutually abusive, yet many on these threads are willing to disregard her abusive behavior because she is a woman. I knew a man whose wife used to eat the crap out of him and then take his paycheck. He was ribbed unmercifully by all who knew about his behavior, but people just called him a simp and thought nothing of a man being abused by his wife. Ridiculous. I do agree that Depp will lose on the claims of defamation, but he has proved that there was more than one abusive person in that marriage. |
| There is NO WAY anything is happening between Camille and JD. First it would ruin this lawsuit. Second it would ruin her career. Just because she's pretty does not mean anything!!!!! |
In the context of this case it doesn’t matter which is what I think PP’s point was. In this situation where he is suing her for defamation if really isn’t relevant at all. |
Yup. And he is the one who filed suit, because he can’t let go, because he abused her and attempts to continue to do so, which indicates - as was determined in the UK action that he lost - that Depp wasn’t defamed. His mentally ill fanbase can pound sand. Disgusting. |
