x10000000

Just awful. for the same money, I could take the family on vacation to Panama. Why bother with Disney?

Have fun! Don’t let the door smack you on the way out.

You do realize that Disney has plenty of restaurants and rides that aren’t meant for kids at all, right?

My 4 year old is too short for a big percentage of rides at Disney.

There are restaurants everywhere.
And why would an adult care about rides she much that they would base a vacation on it?
The rides at Disney aren’t that great anyways.

Well, they’re considered some of the best rides at any theme park in the world, but sure — they’re not that great.

Rise of the Resistance, Smuggler’s Run, Flight of Passage ... yeah, what shitty rides!

Huh? The rides at Busch Gardens are better.

Show me a ride at Busch Gardens that rivals Flight of Passage, Smuggler’s Run, or Rise of the Resistance. I’ll wait.

Busch Gardens is a bunch of coasters. That’s fine, but not particularly innovative.

Disney has some of the most immersive, innovative rides of any theme park in the world.

What shit.

I’m not saying those are bad rides, but that’s the best Disney has, whereas those rides are just standard fare at many other amusement parks.

Are you delusional?

There are NO other theme parks that have rides like Rise of the Resistance. Did you even watch the video?

This might be the stupidest, most blatantly ignorant thing I’ve read on this forum in a long time, and that’s saying something.

Rise of the Resistance uses trackless ride technology, which barely any other theme park has.

It’s three separate rides in one.

You walk out of the transport into a freaking Star Destroyer.

Show me another theme park that has a ride even close to this one.

Who cares? Again, why would an ADULT consider that it important enough to base a vacation on?
If I were planning a trip to Florida, yes I might do a day trip to Disney to go on some of these rides, but I’m not going to make that my entire vacation.

Because some adults like rides!

Get the fk over it.

On the other hand, there’s also tons of people in this thread showing their ass. Nobody likes a brat who calls others trashy for liking something they don’t. And for some reason, nothing gets them riled up like Disney, and every time there’s a Disney thread they must come running to call you trashy.

I think it’s totally ok not to like Disney - to each his/her own - but I agree with you - I don’t like it when people trash it. I think that’s rude.

why? Disney is a multi-billion dollar conglomerate that will do just fine. It has the GDP of a small nation. Why not criticize? Much of the criticism has to do with the product itself and does not reflect on the consumers. I like seafood and don't get offended when others call it gross. Same thing. The Disney lovers are hyper sensitive.

I was responding to someone who said Busch Gardens has better rides. I’m not interested in the fact that you don’t care about rides.

And the Disney haters love to feel superior. We make a great pair!

Why is there such a hostile pro-Disney commenter here? Very strange. Lady, get off the forum and go do you. Disney doesn't need you to defend it. They're doing just fine without your rabid barking on DCUM.

Some don’t understand why adults would want to spend money on WDW when they could take that same money and go to a national park, or travel internationally.

Some people think Disney is not a good corporation and do not want to give it money.

Some people haven’t been and have their own ideas.

Some people don’t enjoy the entertainment Disney provides.

And some people think disliking Disney makes them seem cultured and superior. It’s annoying.

This exactly. I’m someone who has lived on 4 different continents and who loves exploring the world but I also love Disney!!! I think it’s because I’ve been going since the age of 2 (in the early 1970s after MK first opened) and it’s always been a magical place for me.
