Pretty sure everyone had a free day of lacrosse. Happy to pay if that is the issue. If you’re a parent on the team, I’m happy to pay you directly.

If you are not a parent, I’m still really not understanding the anger.

The goalie on the YJM team had to leave - so they didn’t have one for the second game. They choose to combine with YJS, so they had an extra game for S and used the guest goalie as YJM. There was only 1 other guest player and she played defense, not understanding how a goalie and defender led to only 2 girls touching the ball. Something I personally didn’t see.

I hope this is resolved for you. Choose happinesses! Choose the kids!

Fact- The grass field- talked to the tournament director that day. The goal was to reopen the field so the teams could play full games. They did everything they could to do that. Fact- this is about kids not adults. Make that the focus.

Fact- parents can ruin their daughters chances of playing at higher levels.

I met Liz briefly this weekend, played against her in college. She is strong, dedicated and passionate and knows the game. Like every human, she may not be everyone’s cup of tea- none of us are everyone’s cup of tea. However she has committed to building a program, and again everyone has choices. My daughter and my goalie had fun, learned something and made a few new friends. That is the goal of
Lacrosse.

To the MD poster, with all due respect you just don't know what you are talking about and don't have any facts at all. Does it look like the MDU goalie is a 27, wonderful, here's a trophy, that's the only fact.

Regarding the change in fields. The games on all grass fields were moved/cancelled around 11am, moving all games to Turf fields and shortening them. The YJSouth team played their first game on the Turf FULL FIELD with the schedule change AFTER it was Originally schedule to be on one of the Grass fields. As you "should" know, all NGLL games are played on Full fields so the younger/shorter field statement holds no water. The YJMA game was scheduled to be on the Turf full field with no conflict game right after. However, full field plays to the strength of full teams, so the move to a smaller grass field was done for 1 reason and 1 reason only. The "Fact" as you state is all bs and you don't have the real picture here.

With your statement in having just met LC, that shows you have no idea of any of the toxicity here and really should just enjoy your program and spring season and not defend someone who is taking advantage of parents and kids. Good luck in the rest of your NGLL season.

There were 2 goalies in the YJMA game, the MDU one who played the 1st half and either the YJMA or YJS goalie who started the 2nd half. After about 5 mins, that goalie was pulled and the MDU put back in. So whatever games you are telling yourself about not having a goalie, check the video tape!

Fact is the YJMA program is a sham, it's taking money from families (some who didn't even get to play) and providing a terrible atmosphere with broken promises. The win at all costs was evident and even with all that, the Big L still came out.

NGLL no not all games are on turf. The Kent island Bermuda field is well under 100yrds and the older girls took the turf and we were given the Bermuda field. FACT. I’ll send you the tape if you would like.

The entire thread is concerning and is clearly cyber bullying! I was exhausted after going back only 3 pages and how many times they mentioned the CASE. Clearly this person is hiding behind their computer and has some weird obsession with her. This is actually SCARY! I hope the forum reports this person and deletes everything. Behavior like this should NOT be excused (mental illness is serious).

News flash: Talking trash about other people on anonymous forums only makes you a BIG COWARD!

News flash: The Stars parents really showed their true colors on Sunday during a Play Day event! Sad they could not just be happy they were playing OUTSIDE on REAL GRASS! Stars parents showed up with a professional camera guy to film the game LMAO. Then were disciplined by the officials during the game for being unsportsmanlike (I’m they deleted that part from the film). What happened to positive spectators and cheering for both teams. Stars was clearly not showing that and were out to win at any cost.
News flash: stars parents actually complained during the game about the ages of players...lol! Why were they so focused on that versus playing and coaching their players up. The fact a MD coach had to write on the forum to prove the girls grad years is completely outrageous! Even after several comments from the MD coach this person still did not believe it! That’s CRAZY!

Reading is fundamental. 1 more time for the slower folks. Never mentioned all NGLL games are on turf. The reference was to 12v12, full field games for all NGLL games. The Kent Island bermuda field is pretty close to full field and bigger than that SC grass field (field 5).

Here's the updated schedule sent at 11am AFTER all grass fields were deemed too wet and all games moved to Turf. The YJS game originally on Field 5 (grass) was moved to Field 9 (turf). Yet somehow after 1 hour Field 5 was good for a game again even though the schedule shows all cancelled?

Only reason I came to a VA thread (by the way it’s dcmoms so technically not VA) was an adult was questioning and attacking children and making false accusations. I also love this sport and have great disdain for people trying to ruin it for others. I mentioned LC 1x, you however have spoken nonstop about her and choose to rip apart a 12yr old.
