Hey just heard from a friend that Long Island Yellow Jackets are opening up a club in DC or MD. They are working with a team in VA. Is this Pride they are working with? What does this mean for LAX in DC, VA, and MD area now? |
It won't mean much for awhile. The YJ South team gets some good players and is great for RIchmond, but the program as a whole is no where near the level of Baltimore or LI clubs. Hadn't heard anything about a collaboration with Pride. |
Just heard it is the Rattlers out of Virginia. They posted it on their Facebook page. It will be run by someone named Liz Case. Never heard of either. |
Apparenty, Liz Case sold her club, Rattlers, to YJ. She's good, but Rattlers players tradionally haven't been very strong. |
they are building something. YJ South youth teams 25/26/27 can compete with all the MD teams except the big 3.
|
YJ about to get shut down in NY for changing their name (to Swarm) and sneaking out of state to play in tournaments despite/to avoid COVID restrictions on their players. State AG is investigating them. Not surprising that thet are trying to find new grounds to expand to once the NY teams gets shut down. |
Omg! Was wondering where the heck the team ‘Swarm’ came from, and why M&D Black was scheduled to play them. Makes sense now. |
YJ South 21 team was very solid and did a great job with the recruiting for the cycle just concluded. |
Looks like they are coming to MD in the middle of the COVID spikes this weekend for the tournament. How responsible of the club! How does Robinson Sports not stop that? |
Because then he couldn't bring his Orlando teams for the same reason. Robinson is all about the $$$$. |
Will be interesting to watch how this changes things if it does at all. Who is trying out on December 13? |
This club will have built in recruiting that’s for sure! |
No, it doesnt work that way. |
How is that? |
College coaches want an honest assessment of a player. The yj org already has people in place who coaches know well and can do that. |
