Don’t worry about Stars ‘27 too much. Likely that several Pride ‘27 will switch next year making Stars ‘27 a top team too. Pride has proven to be such a poor Avenue to playing in college.

I thought most Pride kids head to Capital? Pride 27 is a legitimate top-10 national team.

They will eventually head to Capital. This year 3 of the top 26 Pride players jumped to Stars and thus that team has now become a top 5 team. The question is will some of the 27 Pride girls jump to Stars a year early in anticipation of joining Capital?

Short answer -- no. I can't see more than 2 stars 27 players making Capital. A goalie and a low attacker.

Remember the 27 Capital tryouts will be the most competitive ever since you will have a dozen BLC girls who will likely made the team. This leave 10 spots for Pride, Stars and girls from any other club.

The biggest question for the 27 class is, "where do the top NoVa girls who are still D1 prospects but don't make Capital Blue go?"

So assuming you don’t want to drive to Baltimore or even Howard County, there is VA Metro, MC Elite (which has proven its capable of managing strong hs teams), MD United and, well, that’s it. If it’s truly bs a girl is cut from Capital (and yes that definitely happens) you can beg for a tryout at Heros. Finally, if you are willing to make the drive, Skywalkers is always open to giving girls tryouts and adding to their team. You just have to get the right person to call them.

You are dreaming if you believe this will happen for BLC to the eventual ‘27 Capital Blue team. No way half the Blue team comes from BLC. Just not going to happen. Pride or Stars earning that many roster spots? Sure, possible, if they continue to develop over next 2 years and prove themselves.

But don’t forget, these are 7th graders. A lot can happen between now and 9th grade. Lots of good elementary aged players get overtaken in summer before 9th by new athletic players or just their peers who grow bigger stronger and faster. Physical development is a huge factor for girls in 8th and 9th. So is commitment and lots of 8th and 9th grade girls start to put other things before lacrosse. Predicting a dozen BLC 7th graders will make Capital in 2 years is laughable.

Not sure why Pride was not referenced. Their 2023 class is putting together a strong list of commits to strong academic and very good lacrosse schools.

Is the YJ 26 team competitive? Will coached?

Best source always since you are going to get a variety of mixed responses with agendas on here is US Club Rankings. 2026 team is ranked 200. Have a 4-16 record. Hope that provides some unbiased input

Who cares, the YJMA teams are still terrible. Where's the YJ coach who wants to fight everyone?

Not everyone just 1 keyboard cowboy. I’m too old to go more than a few rounds.
