Some accountability would go a long way - and a statement that dangerous play by their girls is not something they will tolerate either.

Last weekends display by that Yellowjackets team was pretty bad all around. Someone could say just “yea, it isn’t what this club wants to portray, won’t happen again.”

We played a team last summer that tomahawk'd our player in the head, who was then out for 3 weeks. You are making a mountain out of a mole hill, Stars going to be in for shock in NGLL games.

this STARS team played in NGLL last year. They are not going to be in for a shock.

Not A division. Good for them stepping up though, learning curve will be steep

The 25 and 26s played in A last year. Now the 26-28s are all playing in A. Just the natural progression. And most of the teams play "A" level teams throughout summer and fall tourneys, so again nothing really new, the A level competition is known.

Funny how no one mentions the Stars 26 team, only a top 3-5 team and 1 of the favorites in NGLL this year.

There was an incident involving the Stars 27 vs YJMA 27, that’s the point. I’m referring to the Stars team involved in the incident. That type of aggressive play is only to get more and more frequent now that they are in A NGLL.

Wrong. It was Stars 2028 team that the incident with YJMA 27 team

It was the Stars ‘28 team. YJ team was mixed ages of ‘26, ‘27 & ‘28s.

And you question their ability to be able to take aggressive play is a joke. The Stars 28’ team over the last year has played some
Of the following teams: M&D, Eagle Stix, Hero’s, Coppermine, LI Jesters, Yellow Jackets (real one from LI), Crush. These are just a few and all of these teams are equally aggressive but play the game right. Difference between playing out of control and dirty (YJMA style). And the Stars 2028 team was ranked top 25 in nation so hate all you want. Will they have a hard time in A bracket NGLL this year… you bet ya but they will be able to hang and make many of the games competitive

Yeah I thought this was re: Stars 27 since it was a YJ 27. Stars 28 different situation totally

If you aren’t on Stars, give it up. We have connections and are the powerhouse in NOVA. Come tryout if you want the real deal. Everyone else is a joke.

Don’t worry about Stars ‘27 too much. Likely that several Pride ‘27 will switch next year making Stars ‘27 a top team too. Pride has proven to be such a poor Avenue to playing in college.

I thought most Pride kids head to Capital? Pride 27 is a legitimate top-10 national team.

They will eventually head to Capital. This year 3 of the top 26 Pride players jumped to Stars and thus that team has now become a top 5 team. The question is will some of the 27 Pride girls jump to Stars a year early in anticipation of joining Capital?

Short answer -- no. I can't see more than 2 stars 27 players making Capital. A goalie and a low attacker.

Remember the 27 Capital tryouts will be the most competitive ever since you will have a dozen BLC girls who will likely made the team. This leave 10 spots for Pride, Stars and girls from any other club.

The biggest question for the 27 class is, "where do the top NoVa girls who are still D1 prospects but don't make Capital Blue go?"

Yes, but we are talking about 7th graders (2027s) moving to Stars for 8th grade next year to catch the eye of Capital folks who are still deeply connected to Stars. Several 2026s (current 8th grades) did so last year to solidify their chances. Expect several Pride ‘27 players to follow suit as Pride’s profile continues to fall for hs having recently lost both goalies on their top freshman team.
