Coronavirus good Uplifting and hopeful news only

Off track here, sorry. Whoever the lovely, somewhat older woman standing behind Pence during COVID press conferences, should be in charge. Don't know who she is but her intermittent nods and empathetic face is what we need.

Pence appointed Ambassador Debbie Birx to be his Coronavirus Response Coordinator. She is an HIV-AIDS expert with global health experience. - pp

I can’t even tell you how thankful I am for this thread. My anxiety has been through the roof so I’m too scared to watch news or read anything else recently except this threat! Thanks to those who take the time to seek the positive! Keep

Well, yes... the highest realistic death rate is about 4%, and in reality much lower (sub 1%) given the numbers of untested people.

I can empathize with you. I've been on the other threads destroying the doomsday idiots. PP, this guy: https://ami.health/about/thomas-g-crabtree-md/ is a good friend of mine. He headed up the Ebola crisis in Liberia with this guy: https://www.bangkokpost.com/thailand/special-reports/496981/on-the-front-line-against-ebola

When I tell you we are in good hands, I mean it. Tom said he has been on this for two months and said the economic hit will be much worse than the physical. While economic impact sucks, we can recover from that in time. So they have been working at this here in the US when it hit Wuhan. The crap about us ignoring it all is just not true.

PP, my friend Erik posted this. He's an infectious disease specialist.

"Let's be reasonable. Keep clean, avoid big groups, don't touch your face....... And keep supporting businesses in your city. According to new information from a Chinese patient cohort, the fatality rate may be 'considerably less than 1%,' instead of the 2% previously reported, write Anthony Fauci, MD, and colleagues."

Hope that helps!

From what I understand, he's working on understanding what it is, what the real risks are, who's most vulnerable, and the best ways to treat/contain. A lot of it has been 'under the hood', which is typical, so I don't know everything, nor do I want to. What I CAN tell you is he is excellent at what he does and is a straight-shooting, no BS kind of guy.

LOL so in other words, he just pontificates a lot and runs his plastic surgery practice in Hawaii. You might want to start getting your information from other sources.

Yes, that's exactly what he does.

PS - you live a sad little life. Hope things improve for you (or you grow up better than you are now)

I'm constantly stunned at the number of complete a$$wipes that post. I shouldn't be - I would image there are a certain number of sociopaths in the world, of narcissists, of just plain evil people.

I'm sad for them, truly. Must be a really lonely life.

I'm heartened by the fact that so many people are learning how to wash their hands with soap and water!
