Nothing in the world is PERFECTLY safe. Your daughter lives with out fear. As long as she takes reasonable precautions, she should be fine.

I am not sensing hoax at all. I would like someone to explain to me why they think this is a hoax. what is it about the story that does not add up to you?

Nothing in the world is PERFECTLY safe. Your daughter lives with out fear. As long as she takes reasonable precautions, she should be fine.

This is not wholly accurate. PPs teen daughter doesn't have her prefrontal cortex fully formed. She is also in a developmental stage where she can't accurately perceive risk. She's young and truly believes nothing bad can happen to her. This is the trademark of the teenage brain and it's why teens die in such stupid ways when they do: they can't weigh risk because they think they're invincible. Her daughter doesn't run alone because she "lives without fear" as a choice or statement. She literally does not realize when she is unsafe or at risk. I remember running alone at 11 pm at 19/20 for the same reason. As a 30s mom I now know so much better.

So get her some reflective gear. The chances of getting hit by a car are much greater than being supposedly kidnaped by partially masked Latinas or whoever. And the risks of leading a depressing, unhealthy life are also greater.

Keep in mind the Papinis lived in an area known for sex trafficking. However, there was an expert on CNN (or MSNBC) this morning saying that while some parts of the story were consistent with sex traffickers, other parts were not. She said there is no shortage of runaways and drifters that they can pick up and nobody will notice they are missing. They are not known for grabbing someone who will likely be missed, and then making her ugly with bruises. There is no gain in that.

Yeah, I don't think sex trafficking in the US is literally kidnaping people. It's more like exploiting and deceiving vulnerable people.
