Sherri Papini: Does anyone think it's a hoax?

She alleges she was beat up by 2 Hispanic women but someone found a story she wrote sometime ago about being beat up by Hispanics. I'm starting to wonder if this is some sort of staged event like Susan Smith.

Here is an excerpt of a blog she posted.

I grew up in a small country town, Shasta Lake, California. My school was predominately white. It was a small enough town that everyone pretty much knew each other. I was known as a really good athlete and my Dad had a reputation for being my biggest fan but, also, for standing up against Latinos. He, even, was often kicked out of the stands for getting in fights and defending himself when the Latinos would call him a "Nazi." Seems that our simply being of German-descent was a constant irritant to them. I would get in fights, too, having to stick up for myself instead of knuckling under to what the Latino girls said and wanted.

But, I kept fighting back so tenaciously that they saw that they couldn't defeat me, so they all suddenly ran out the door. My house was about nine or ten blocks away. I limped the whole way home. I'm not sure how I made it, but I still heard the sound of my Dad's voice, "Keep walking, Sher. Keep walking." I guess my point is that even though I didn't always understand why my life had to be one constant battle, our "family-values" -- between myself and my Dad -- carried me through. My Dad was always there with me, in spirit. Being white is more than just being aware of my skin, but of standing behind Skinheads -- who are always around, in spirit, as well -- and having pride for my country. Being white is my family, my roots, my way of life. It's always there. There's no denying it. It's nobility. It's strength. It will be there to lift me up when I really need my pride, when I need to "keep walking."

I have to correct myself; she alleged wrote this blog. It could be fake.

It was odd to me one of the press releases said that they didn't believe the women were a further threat. Another said they were looking for them.
Something was telling me the police weren't concerned about these women.
Definitely doesn't seem like a normal story, women survive captivity but not under these types of scenarios.
I hate to doubt her, but it does seem off.

I don't know about the blog, but I agree that something is not right about the story. I'm sure the truth will come out.

Didnt see say she was released too? What psycho releases someone 3 weeks later?

The Latino women probably knew the male who did it, discovered her and wanted to get rid of her without bringing any attention to themselves.

Something feels off about this.

A few interesting points to ponder.

1) According to Heavy.com, an anonymous family member of this woman said that she also faked her own abuduction back in 2006.
2) A web blogger has posted two interesting documents. One is a divorce record filed in California that shows she was married to someone else around that same time in 2006, although to the press this last month she was described as being in a 'first marriage'.

SECOND item was a police report from gas station in CA earlier in the week where a woman saw her in a car, with a man, approached and asked if she was alright and suggested she looked identical to the woman kidnapped in Shasta. The woman denied she was her, but she and the WHITE male drove away. Woman who reported it to the police was very convinced it was her.

These things, and her racist anti-Hispanic rants on that Skinheadz website, which have been verified, makes me convinced this was a hoax by her: probably to scam some $$$, get lots of attention, and escape her marriage for a brief spell. All the signs point to hoax. And given that the husband passed a poly, I think she cooked this up all by herself. Maybe with a lover waiting in the wings.

I wonder what happened to all the money they raised on gofundme. Last I looked it was around $50,000.

Yeah, something is definitely not right here.

What area of CA was that. Do you have a link?

I think the police will drop it if it starts looking like a hoax. I don't think they want the bad press of a female Neo-Nazi faking her own abduction and blaming it on Hispanic women.

Reminds me of Quinn Gray: http://www.today.com/id/33600013/ns/today-today_news/t/police-florida-wife-faked-her-own-abduction/#.WDsH4MdGKgQ

There was a Dateline or similar about her.

I agree, I feel like it was a hoax. Sad bc I was following it closely and hoping for the best for her. She obvious needs mental help - and she needs to pay back all the fees for law enforcement.

If it's a hoax, the authorities should hold her financially accountable for the cost of the search and hours diverted by law enforcement looking for her. They need to make an example out of her.
