OP here. I just logged in, and saw that people had breathed new life into this discussion!
It was a great vacation. My friend and I are on great terms. She didn't join us, but my parents did. It was a blessing in disguise. As I said much earlier, I learned a lot, and the lessons for all of us didn't cause too much angst in the end. |
