Good, it'll be warm enough for you to send your kids out to shovel.

you sound like a pimp.

Asking kids to do chores and to help the family and community is not pimping them out.

It genuinely could stop at 12 am and not accumulate further in which case a close would be pointless. Nobody was able to nail down a solid prediction for an accumulation because all the models disagreed with eachother and it’s a very warm storm with lots of variance.

This is now what it is looking like.

Pretty lame by Fairfax but why work in the evenings I say if one can help it. Just easier to close.

Snow stopped in my area. Accumulation is not very much. Are the roads really that bad?

A delayed opening would have been fine. Once daylight comes and road traffic starts up it will clear off quick.

they can sleep in.

we will have a nutritious breakfast.

and before we can indulge in relaxing, we will go over their subjects they would have had tomorrow to keep content fresh in their brain.

it may be a snow day...but we keep learning front and center in my home.

Thanks for the update, Trad Wife. Carry on.

Someone asked Chatgpt to respond as a tradwife, lol

It will be melted by noon. A 2 hour delay would have been sufficient.

It was a bad call. It it is turning into a nothing storm. But why would FCPS want to work tomorrow? Why bother with school at all when we can all homeschool as was suggested up thread?

Parts of the county got a lot of snow others didn’t and there is still more to come

They should have stuck with the delay and re-evaluated in the very early morning, 2-3 AM. Sigh …

Isn't it DCUM 101 to feed your children well and do enrichment?

I don't know any career moms giving their kids chips and donuts for breakfast and leaving them to smartphones/tv whenever they aren't in school or asleep. I hope you're not implying that it's cartoon 1950s to put a little effort into raising your children.

Yes and what sucks is FCPS drives the whole rest of NoVa to close. I am not even in FCPS and I follow this forum instead.

The trad wife pp is miserable. Dcum has no shortage of angry, miserable people. Enjoy the snow day everyone!

We are in Springfield and it is still snowing pretty good. Our road looks like a mess. Snow covered (maybe 2"?).
