Why do MAGA assume all blue cities are violent crime ridden hell scapes?

Our opinion of cities is from “lived experience” (as you like to call it) not the news.

Are you rejecting the lived experiences of the people who have lived in urban Philadelphia, NYC, and DC?

No, we are saying you are anti-social p#ssies who couldn’t hack it.

Hm, I thought the Democrats were the party of tolerance of different preferences and embracing diversity of lifestyles.

I’m really shocked to hear your perspective on this issue

Democrats are generally intolerant of intolerant people. We have our limits.

And preferring to live in a rural area over an urban one is a clear example of intolerance.

No but living in a rural area and thinking you know best about urban issues and their solutions for certainly is weird. I don't pretend to know best about small town issues.

Meanwhile the crime rate in some of these cities is the lowest in years.

Is it just that they’re watching news max or Fox all day long?

I don't post on social media, but I was robbed at SF and NYC, also threatened by some mental guy in Harlem. I don't care about rate, I go by how safe I was in particular city. I am not American, and travel a lot, so I have my own list of safe/not safe cities.

You're just an easy mark. It says more about you than anything else. I've been to just about every large city outside of the deep south or Texas and walk whenever possible or take public transportation and have never been accosted before. Of course you have to use common sense and not stare down at google maps while you're slow walking.

Are there homeless people, panhandlers, meth heads, and crazy people shouting on corners? Sure but they're mostly harmless if you treat them as human beings. But that's the price you pay for emptying all the mental hospitals and having unreasonable rent prices.

You definitely looked like an easy target. Who the hell gets robbed in SF AND NYC! I've lived in cities my whole adult life. I don't even know anyone who's been robbed. I also keep my head on a swivel. You have to sharp and stay on your game in the city. I also speak to people.

I've lived in DC and NYC. Cities that literally run the world. Cities that the best and brightest flock to. Cities that are economic engines. All rural areas want is a handout.

That's not inherently true. One may prefer a rural area simply due to the presence of family, or they work on a farm.

Main ways blue cities stay safe is by making the cost of living so high, the criminal element will move out.
Residents shop at grocery stores with higher prices so as to keep out the unwanted.

Not an assumption, rather a simple fact.

Yeah, it’s clearly the PPs fault for nearly getting robbed. People who look like tourists frankly get what they deserve for not knowing how to “stay sharp and on your game” to avoid threats and attack when visiting.

It’s hard to say. They seem to be afraid of everything.

Family- maybe. I grew up in a rural area and just came back from visiting for Christmas. Nobody I know still works on farms and the only reasons they are still there are cheap cost of living / family home but most of the ones who finished college all left.

Didn't Epstein live in NY?

In a city of 800,000 people one person committed a crime (and was apprehended, by the way).

Here's a similar story from a small town in South Carolina: https://www.thestate.com/news/local/crime/article313875038.html
