SYC is getting rid of all sports and only focusing on soccer.

So what happened?!?!?

Sounds like a reasonable 3 from “rec”, 2 from the travel slate.

Yes, cheerleaders were there. No, their presence (and cheering) was not cause for the link to vote to be later than expected. The meeting started late, the presentation to update the members of plans for the future took some time, and some candidates took longer than the 90 seconds they were given to make one last speech for votes. But sure, the cheerleaders who sat in the back respectfully were the reason.

Those cheerleaders did exactly what they were supposed to do…..cheered for the “HOME TEAM”!!!

Those cheerleaders were the first ones there sitting on the back benches away from the board. They only cheered for non travel coaches! They know who are voting for.

You are just jealous we did what you thought we couldn't. We are on to bigger and better things!

They cheered for everyone that mentioned supporting all sports!!! They may not have been able to vote, but SO GLAD THEIR VOICES WERE STILL HEARD!!

Good. Travel parent upthread and I’m glad they brought kids from cheer and used this as a teachable moment.

Kind of disgusted with the way the travel side handled this. Poor governance to want a lopsided board. And they need to start posting the minutes again.

I heard some guy spoke for way too long about investing and land and another facility. How do they think they ca afford land and build a facility when they can't afford the one they have. He also contradicted the first speaker, the Board President.

The website now says that BOD minutes are available to view during office hours. What are they trying to hide?

There is a lot for them to hide, it's still a lopsided Board and still battles to fight!

I hope the “rec” board members that got in can request total transparency and find out what’s been going on.

You’re obviously a bitter soccer board member’s wife who just hates on cheer. PS: Get your facts straight.
