College and University Discussion
Got it but if my child doesn’t aim for their potential, I won’t stick around to watch it. That’s just where I stand. |
| I find the not stick around to watch it very triggering and upsetting. Can you please stop repeating that over and over, we all got your point. If you want what you say you want, you’re going about it all wrong. |
Understood. I’ll stop repeating it. But I stand by my belief that if my child doesn’t aim for their best, I can’t accept that outcome. It’s non-negotiable for me. |
| Wtf am I reading here? |
Something that has put an uncharacteristic hush over the normally rabid crowd in this forum. |
I know! I’m shook, I genuinely didn’t think this was possible on here. |
I wasted a few mental cycles trying to think of something clever to post for this one, but OP is so clearly trolling that it's not worth the effort. |
The commitment and staying in character has been commendable. |
I’m not trolling. This is my reality. I’m just being honest about the stakes, and I don’t see it as anything less than crucial. If you don’t get it, that’s on you, but this isn’t a joke to me. |
I’m not trolling. If you can’t see that, it’s fine, but it’s my truth. |
| What year is your kid and what schools are they interested in? |
I don’t think this one’s the OP. |
| Why do people believe so-called lower-tier colleges or universities are any easier or not as good as top tier schools? |
My child is in early high school. For me, George Washington University is the line. |
It’s still me. This is how I see things, no matter how it reads to you. I’m clear on what’s important. |
